A lot of older items get moved to be listed as 'blocked for sale' by the system. Largely because the stock is no longer available from the manufacturer and stores cumulatively only have about 10 which may or may not actually be down to stock errors. So they're written off and assumed to not be there anymore but, obviously, sometimes this stock does still exist floating around shopfloor sometimes. It's why they would've put it through as a different item so as to just shift it which is what creates more errors in the system as it will think that store has sold more Sparkless Seekers than it actually has (which is why when things get changed to "blocked for sale" they get written off because the stock number is probably wrong anyway) it's honestly a really stupid system and I've said to management multiple times that it surely wouldn't be difficult to just keep the barcode active. But that'll be why they would've said it isn't for sale. Smyths definitely aren't getting anymore of Hotlink considering his status in the system
