For my next trick, pester power will get me every issue of the transformers comic for free!

Huzzah for me!

Glad to hear Shouki came ok Red.

I don't really like the colours of the classics Prime.
I much prefer the deeper red and chrome of 20th anni.

ooo Goody!

I quite like the tatoos that came with 2, but I'll never use em. They look nicer on paper.

Next time I go down to my local newsagents I need to backorder issue one, which I never found.

He has a blue gun. Sure, the other had a version with a grey gun (I got the black gun. WOOT!) but blue?!

He also has a lighter red which doesn't give as good a presence as the deeper red, and the classics version lacks chrome. Basically, it's because you are paying more for an inferior product.

I don't have a credit or debit card. It's postal orders all the way. Though I wont be able to send it until fri, and he wants payment within 5 days of auction end, which is tomorrow, so I don't know if he'll accept that. I sent him a message yesterday, but he hasn't replied. Looks like I won't be getting Blitzwing. Though no one has bid, so he may relist it and I can pounce on it then.

That's unfortunate about your 'pester power' Frimal. I discovered outright pestering doesn't work, you need to be subtle. It works much better.

BTW, I've posted my customs up here if anyone is interested.

Hi all, i'm new, true TF fan and looking forward to taljking to you all

First off, just wanna say the "orange" blue gun 20th prime is particularly shoddy

that said, i have MP-04 and next to my mate's MP-01 he looks a bit crappy, paint has chipped off the front and i've only had him out of the box twice.

and then when i went to toys r us and saw their 50 quid prime i nearly cried, mine cost 200 including rip-off-american-import-customs-rubbish-tax. and this one was just as good, apart from the usual smokestack nonsense. ebay is so expensive these days

i'm after a blue alternator/b-t tracks, anybody any idea how much i'll expect to pay? and does anywhere other than ebay have it?

cheers

Sorry to hear about that Prime business. They both seem to be shelfwarmers. It is amazing what longstacks do for that mould though.

yeh but 150 quid? I dunno, i just feel disappointed after looking forward to it for so long. i'm scared of transforming it in case it breaks coz it was so damn expensive.
know of anywhere i can find blue alt/bt tracks?

The extra price is because the MP04 comes with a trailor. But it should be safe to transform, it's a very sturdy mould. Unless it's different from the 20th version, which it aint.

As for Tracks, online somewhere is your best bet. The UK doesn't get many figures in (hence the name of this thread). BT is only available in specialist comic shops like Forbidden Planet, but they are a rich ship's ransom in price. Alt's have been known to pop up here and there, but not hunting alts regulalrly, i can't be of more help I'm afraid.

Pester-power never worked for me as a kid & now I earn money my mum borrows off me!

Being an 'adult' (in age not mind) isn't all its cracked up to be...

And for those unfortunate to be stuck in the Hounslow/Isleworth area:

Hounslow High St. Wilkos has nothing but poor KOs. Hounslow High St. Woolies has Prime Voice Changers and a silly little radio thingamy. & Hounslow West Woolies has like a million legends Jazz's and 1 Proto-Scream.

Poor selection really, the High St. has never had Deluxes/Voyagers or Leaders.

HUZZAH!

you want cheap but decent GTR FX boxes then use Behringer. I use Studio quality DI's, mics and Bass FX regularly but my favourite 'lil box of tricks is a £50.00 Behringer XVamp! Their mics are dirt cheap (£20.00) and the only thing better is a Shure SM58 and thats 3/4 times the price.
£20.00 should get you a good distortion box from here:

I'm not sure what this thread is really about but I'm from Sheffield so I might as well make myself heard.

Wilkos at Castle Market had a load of Titanium Ultra Magnuses and few War Within Megs and one Classics CliffJumper when I checked last week - plus the usual assortmant of movie deluxes.

John Lewis opposite the City Hall had Movie Starscream, Ironhide, Swindle, Dradwing and Arcee - the only place I've seen them on sale where I live. Ratchet and Blackout can pretty much be found everywhere else.

I actually scored a second-hand Alternator Tracks off ebay to replace my scratched up Binaltech. He was on sale bundled with Alt Shockwave. Although the seller just wrapped him up in paper and shoved them in the mail they managed to make it to my house in perfect condition. If Alts are getting rarer and money's scarse, maybe going second hand is worth the risk.
