Most of the characters from the Unicron trilogy were originally from G1. And can you imagine what it would be like if there were only original characters in the movies? It'd be only Barricade in the first and The Twins in Revenge of The Fallen. Or are G1 characters the only ones that are allowed to jump around. Jump, jump, jump around!
As for which version of Lugnut is better; I'd say Hasbro's if you're a fan of the movies and Takara's if you prefer your Classics.

I always wanted a Classics Barricade! (not the Micromaster, obviously >.>) he would make such a great counterpart to prowl!

Intah-wib-buls?

Leave it to Dead Metal to have the word 'Pronz' in his signature.

Generations/ United is where it's at. Design, aesthetic... awesome! And for the record, Jazz is one of those rarities that looks good on camera, but when you get it in hand... WOW. What an awesome toy! So perfect in all ways, and with some excellent touches as well.

Well this is the CHUG line, so personally I'd consider basing him on his movie iteration a breech of what Classics set out to be.

I'm driving my wife nuts going every week to Toys r Us and Target (I have no faith that Walmart will get them anytime soon if at all since they just resock of the wave 1 Generations all the time) trying to locate the two.
