Y'know, I think Deadpool is the closest lookalike to this guy that I can think of. I never woulda thought of that.

Also, I just display all my stuff together, regardless of series. If I had to pick between Classics and Movie, I'd go with Classics.

From profile and 3/4 view, the Swerve's head resembles Deadpool when he had the mask that had the bit at the top/back part of the head, like a loose tuque.

So, I still have my alerts from ebay on the Chevy Aveo Swerve (I'd been trying to find one at a decent price since they came out in China) and today one has gone up with a 1 cent starting point and really rather reasonable shipping in Canada and the States. Thanks for the heads up! I'd love to get one simply because I really like the design. It's not the most elegant or svelt robot mode but, oddly enough, I love the lower leg transformation design. It's great. Similar to Alternity Optimus Prime's lower leg transformation design too.

His chest is pretty nifty too, the way the wheels fall into the cavity. It is impressive, IMO.

QTF. I PM'ed Down_Shift in mid August and he'd had a major flood in his basement but he'd ship them out that Friday and sent me a tracking number. I sent him another PM a couple weeks ago and I still haven't heard anything back yet. I don't want to be a dick but an update or something would be nice.

Yeah I sent him a message on the 30th of Aug and he said he was slammed with $ problems. The aforementioned flood, the brakes on his car failing, and something about his boss not paying him for working a convention. He said his PC was fried in the flood too.

Show some class guys and talk to him privately. Down_Shift might be giving you excuses, but they're geniune, no need to get hasty here and call him out.

Now to be fair, I have tried to contact him directly and haven't recieved a response and that was the point of my post. When he told me about the flood I offered to pay for the Swerve but he told me not to worry about it. The topic came up publicly again and we are discussing it without argument or even harsh words. I think we've all been patient and very civil about the situation on the whole.

Plus since he gives them to your for free and doesn't ask for any money you haven't lost anything even if you never receive them.

Hell I had to wait 6 months for my Marvel Encyclopaedia and that cost me €90 but that was worth it as there are only 900 copies of it.

Looks like this is the perfect time for an update!

Well guys I gotta say, I`m sorry to get your hopes up like I did. Truth is, yes there have been a dozen reasons holding me back from everythign mentioned above to my workpolace going on strike. I won`t make excuses, simply offer reasons why I haven`t gotten back to anyone about the`doin`s a transpiring.

To sum up a long story it`s been a rough go the last two months. I will still be sending them out. I`d like to give you a time frame, but last time I did that I think I put a few tears in beers.

Like Blurrz said, if you really want it, like NOW, then buy one off ebay. But I still have them, and I`m still sending them out, and they`re still free.

I will get around to it, but I still need some time. You know, it really does suck. I started this with nothing but good intentions and so far one thing after another has blown up in my face.

Good to hear from you, D_S! I don't think any of us were complaining per se, just concerned by the lack of update especially given what we knew of your situation. I've been out of work for quite a while and am now down to selling off some of my collection so I'd've understood if you had to do the same. Patience is a virtue after all.

First of all, my apologies for even bringing this up. I was unaware of any problems D_S was having.

Down_Shift, you are and forever will be the man! Some of us (myself included) have expressed interest in contributing financially to help defray the cost of shipping, etc. I am still willing, so please let me know if I can send you some funds.
