Well, I think its a MJ thing.

But yeah, its all about money. They throw in a few ideas from the Transformers mythos that we all get so worked up about, and then they give it a spin to make it appeal to the mindless uninitiated masses.

Ha ha! This makes me laugh. Is it about money? Absolutely. TF has always been about money since the orignal series; which were nothing more than 1/2 toy commercials.

As far as not caring, you just contradicted yourself. You admit that they use TF references and mythos', yet your still not happy. And whats worse you basically claim its a slap in the face.
This is why many of the fans requests are ignored. It jut ends up being to darn difficult to try and appease the fan base when they cry over stupid ass **** like flames on Optimus, and a rumor of Star Scream possible dying. All this proves is the fan base will never be happy no matter what is done, nore whom ever is at the helm!
Do these films appeal to the masses? Absolutely. If people would crawl out of there parents basements they'd realize that they only make up about 15% of who goes to see these movies. That small margin isn't enough for Hasbro to even justify a large scale movie only to appeal to the fan base. Like it or not, the rest of the general public has gage some interest.
anyways, at this point we don't have anything real solid to go by other than Optimus has a trailer, Sound wave will be in it, BB is sporting a new look, and handful of old characters will be back. We have an idea of the plot/story, but even that can change from now till the end of the year.
It sure would be nice if some could just try and stay positive and optimistic. Just a thought...

Dude, it's not real. It's a lie. The rumor is completely false. Starscream doesn't turn into Elita-1. Starscream DIES in the next movie.
