Bad@$$ TFs? Suggestions Please

Postby Bonecrusher27 » Thu Jan 03, 2008 9:30 am

As my collection of TFs grows almost daily, I find myself having to make serious disciplinary decisions about what to buy and what not to, what to display and what not.

I've decided to focus (for now) on toys that look real bad ass. I like toys that are full or weaponry, bristling, or bristling with weaponry. So I have Primus, Energon Unicron, Cybertron Defense Force Scattorshot and Movie Leader Brawl.

Does anyone have any recommendations of which TFs are the most heavily armed that would look good next to these guys? I like lots of weapons sticking out all over.

Thanks!

Energon Megatron/Galvatron ... they carry around an energon blade that's attached to an arm mounted TANK. C'mon! Also, 2 huge shoulder cannons and various other weapons.

Energon Mirage/Dreadwing is a gun boat with 4 torpedo launchers. The figure has its flaws, but it's quite bad ass.

Cybertron Sideways has QUITE a large knife. He isn't armed to the teeth, but he still looks pretty evil.

Try to find a larger shoulder missile than Cybertron Defense Red Alert. It might take a while.

Cybertron Mud Flap has a 49 foot long energon saw hidden in his crane.

Cybertron Prime/Wingsaber ... Sonic wing mode takes the taco for me. Those swords, gatling guns, overhead dual cannons ... even has missile launchers on his feet!

g1 sixshot - he's big and looks nice with his two huge cannons
cybertron screamer - he's freakin' huge, he's like sputnik
armada shockblast - why not?

I suggest Cybertron Soundwave or if you could find him, Galaxy Force Soundblaster. Also look for the Cybertron scout class Scattershot, he's pretty fun for a small figure.

Don't forget G1 grimlock, the most BAD@$$ of all TF's (he said so himself!)

But yeah, Leader Brawl fits that description. I have deluxe Brawl, and he's not that bad, but is kinda overly complicated for his size.

Weapon: Dual Impact Maces
I'm gonna go out on a limb here:

Cybertron Metroplex

Alot of people hate this guy due to his weird alt mode (or lack thereof). But in terms of bada$$ness, he gets lots of points from me because:
1. He towers above everybody but Cyb Starscream
2. He carries a REALLY BIG circular saw on the end of a REALLY BIG stick (its as big as he is!).
3. He's got the ability to wield 13 minicons at the same time.

For these reasons, Cybertron Metroplex is seriously bada$$ (and I think he's fairly easy to obtain these days since nobody wanted him when he came out.)

BW Neo Longrack is quite weaponed up.
Big Convoy from the same series, or Universe Nemesis Prime are probably among the most armed figures you can find.

Add to those two RID Scourge, Turbomaster Thunderclash, and Cybertron Optimus Prime for trailers that have weaponry up the Wazoo, Machine Wars Starscream has over a dozen bombs, but not sure if you'd want to count him.

Stalker, CD Red Alert, Energon Galvatron, Armada Galvatron and Armada Cyclonus all deserve a mention too.
Awesomesauce; Use it, you know you want to.

You just ran off nearly my whole list!

But lets not forget BW TigerHawk0Universe RazorClaw, You gotta try Tidal Wave, Primus was suprizingly armed to the teeth?

If you got the loot G1 OverLord.

BWII Apache was impresive and Tusorca looks like The Fallens grandkid.

Armada OverLoad, BWTM2 Scourge is evil and so's BWTM Scavenger.

You know what, I can keep going on, and I'm sure the rest of the members will fill in some gaps for me, but realy, in the end, you're just gonna want them all, so get started...

Weapon: Sword
They may not all be armed to the teeth, but for sheer savage bada$$edness, consider:

Titanium Fallen
g1 Scorponok
OTFCC Megazarak (Armada Megatron redeco)
Botcon 2005 Deathsaurus (RID Megatron redeco)
Energon Galvatron
g1 Razorclaw (or any of his Predacon gestalt mates)
Classic Jetfire or 2007 Botcon Dreadwind
Movie Ironhide
Universe Nemesis Convoy
G1 Bludgeon (but you'll need to find a sword for him)
RID Scourge (G2 prime repaint)
Movie Thundercracker
Botcon 2006 Megatron (Cyb Defense Red Alert repaint/remold)

G1 Predaking weighs in as big and intimidating right off the bat. Add to that how his limbs can be made to hold weapons, and you have one of the best-armed G1 Transformers. If the KOs are still available at a reasonable price, he can be gotten without too much expenditure.

Several of the Transmetal 2 Beast Wars toys might qualify. TM2 Megs looks great on display.

Otherwise, I voice agreement with the previous posters.

Have love, no money! Can't find him easily now. He's big but I'm still fantasising that I will be able to find the Japanese-release Voyager version of him. I love big ones ( ) but in his case I felt that being just an upscale he didn't have a lot of the detailing you'd expect in a toy that size, as other reviewers have previously noted.

Thanks, I do have him. Been deciding to have him out of box or not though. He's huge and I have limited space. One of my favourites, although I must say I prefer his proportions in 'brute' mode than attack mode. I still can't get over his doggie transformation though

Dead Metal wrote:Classics Voyager Prime and Megs, epic and really badass designs!

Thanks, done! But in my other shelf with the other transformers. I wanted this shelf to be just almost like an armed hall of fame. somehow Meg's Nerf colours just didn't go with it.

Elvaan wrote:Cybertron Galvatron w/ two Nemesis Breakers ( ftw )

Ha you're kidding right? Can Nemesis Breaker fit on either hand?

Ha! I've just ordered from Ebay Scourge and Prime, so these will fit nicely in my new rosewood shelf. Fixed height unfortunately, so would be nice to fill with bigger dangerous robots :-)

I'm gonna check out Big Convoy... although I have a sinking feeling that any older release toy with the word "Convoy" in it ain't gonna be cheap...

Liege Evilmus wrote:You know what, I can keep going on, and I'm sure the rest of the members will fill in some gaps for me, but realy, in the end, you're just gonna want them all, so get started...

Yes I know... which is why I was hoping it would be just a FEW suggestions. I know how easy it is to spend money, once you buy one you wanna buy another... I salute the man who ever thought up the tagline "Collect them all!"

Menbailee wrote:G1 Predaking weighs in as big and intimidating right off the bat. Add to that how his limbs can be made to hold weapons, and you have one of the best-armed G1 Transformers

Yeah I know... but it's not just he who's intimidating but the pricetag as well! No way I could afford him, even the reissue! But I love him because I love the animals concept, and now that ship has sunk.

Thanks everyone who answered, really appreciate the effort and time taken! Have copied and pasted onto a Word to create a search, view, and buy list

Allspark Landmine may not have too many guns sticking out, but he certainly got the looks of a pure bad ass. And he's got a gun with BIG scary bullets hanging on it!

Hint: Light up the eyes (with a light source placed behind the head), and you'll see how really angry he can be!

if you ordered Cybertron Prime, make sure you get to find Cybertron Wing Saber for it! the best Super-Prime mode in AEC, narrowly edging out Omega Prime (E. OP + E. Omega Supreme).

for that matter, you should get Energon Omega Supreme and/or Omega Sentinel. really badarse bots that really put the "big" in BIG.
