There is a particularly funny scene in the last part of the story when the Quintessons invade Cybertron and they are not expecting resistance, and instead stumble on a city populated by mechs claiming to be former Decepticons whose sparks were in prison on Cybertron, but the events of the Beast Machines finale placed their sparks back in bodies at random. One mech steps forward claiming to be formerly be Thundercracker leading the fight against the Quintesson in the city, but then several other mechs claim they were actually Thundercracker. They decide the only logical way to decide who was the REAL Thundercracker is to see who kills the most Sharkticons during the battle. The winner gets to be Thundercracker, the runner up gets to be Dirge.

Thundercracker must have been a really popular guy for so many people to want to be him.

The Transformers: Universe - The Wreckers is a comic book and text based story released over the course of several years by 3H Enterprises and Fun Publications. They are official stories of what happens after the Beast Machine TV series. It involves several classic characters returning to Cybertron and the Quintessons invading the planet again now that they see it as weak after Megatron's Vehicon rule has ended.

Two of the characters in the Wreckers story are Cyclonus and Skywarp, who both work together with the Autobots at first defending Cybertron from the Quintessons, but then Cyclonus reveals he is secretly working for Cryotek, who in turn is working for the Quintessons. Skywarp pretends to go along with Cyclonus, but then reveals he while he doesn't like the Autobots and Maximals, he's not loyal to the Quintessons either, and he's hated Cyclonus ever since Cyclonus was "a bug". Skywarp also reveals how he was made into "Armada", a drone of Cyclonus who did as commanded, until he recovered his personality recently.

So there you have it, according to this story Bombshell was Cyclonus, and Skywarp was partof his "Armada", and later Skywarp shot Cyclonus for years of being contolled.

Also, to dispute that profile of Cyclonus on the DVD, it was written by fans, not Hasbro licensed writers. It's no more "official" than the fan commentary on the DVD, as far as I'm aware.

Well, I guess it really just comes down to personal choice. We should have a poll and let the people decide!

I don't think you even need a poll. You can enjoy whatever part of the fiction you like Nothing wrong with that... unless you like Armada Hot Shot, then you are just wrong.

I would have considered anything on the widely released 86 movie dvd, even the extras, as more official than convention comics that only a select few have read.

Don't get me wrong, I love the Universe comics though.

Weel, technically since both are seen as licensed material, both are true.

Some prefer to ignore the DVD because the profile was donated fan material, not written by official writers. Conversely some say the Club comics are not widely distributed. Still, they are official.

It really was Bombshell, I also clearly see it happen in the movie.

Skywarp either becomes one of the sweeps or Cyclonus's shortlived "armada" IIRC.

I think people prefer to think it is Skywarp because of the close bond he and Thundercraker shared, and it's nice to think they continued on as partners under Galvatron's reign. It's just dreaming though, it really was Bombshell.

I honestly prefer stories where Scourge, Cyclonus and Galvatron are new characters and not reformatted from first year characters. Dreamwave and IDW seemed to go with it and it works fine. Heck, let's see a continuity where Rodimus Prime isn't Hot Rod too.
