Some practical concerns:

If the robot-mode has no actual bearing on the game, is there any reason to link specific robot-modes to specific alt-modes?

Secondly, how will fan-created robot modes work?

e.g., what's to stop me grabbing, ooh, this alt-mode:

... if I haven't realised that it's a specific, one-off, fan-created character? Is this the sort of thing that could cause trouble (along the lines of the classic "name-stealing" shenanigans?)

as of right now ... it was my understanding that the bot modes would be available from a "pool" of Bot mods similar to that of the ALTs.

No gaurantee that any ones specific BOt mode will be put into the database ... its nice to dream tho ^_^

I guess just to show what your TF looks like, I like seeing them more than just a destription of what they do in a line of text alone.

somtimes fan characters alts are added to them game and everyone can use them, no one seemed to mind.

If the fan alt is picked to be added to the game it becomes fair play for everyone to be honest, like how the White Transmetal Dragon Altmode thats currently ingame is in fact Windracer's character drawn and iconed by her, but anyone can choose it when its available to their faction.

If people are gonna scream blue murder because someone's using their characters pic they shouldn't really be requesting them to be made into icons for the game

I've been wondering the same thing too Jesus. I'd hope that the recolor option will be available for them. And that they'd be rotated in to both factions like the alts themselves.

To be fair, Scorponok and Swindle are the only ones I want used. Any generic Prime lookie-like would suffice for JP, though I'd like Armada Prime. The others are all tanks, so I don't really care what crops up as long as some of it looks good.
