Just wondering if I should get the reissue. I have never held him in hand, so I don't know wether he is a fun and interesting toy. Always looked kind of boring to me.
Also what company did Hasbro get him from. I don't know any thing about his history but I think I know Transformers well enough to know that Takara didn't make him. (just not their typical style)
Am I correct?

Sky Lynx came from ToyBox I think. Anyways he's worth getting just for the simple fact that Sky Lynx has never been available except for back in the day (1986). Any MIB or MISB ones go for top dollar on Ebay. With this reissue you get him for about $90 USD in pristine brand new condition. Yeah, he's worth a crap!

Sky Lynx isn't appealing to me, plus I was never a fan of him anyway. I wouldn't buy it.

I like Sky Lynx, very unique and appealing in all modes. I wouldn’t tell you to buy it though if you’re not sure, it’s a rather expensive piece.

He's definately going to be popular in Japan since I don't think he ever came out there. Considering the prices vintage MIB or MISB Skylinx's are going for, it's definately worth $90.

I like it and am getting one. I sold my original for twice as much and am buying the reissue.
My ultimate goal is to have one of every G1 figure, so it is a no-brainer for me. I prefer the bird mode, although it is a rather unique figure amongst my G1 collection.

Hasbro should have improved the Sky Lynx toy. Instead of just going the easy way of reissuing an exact copy of the ancient toy.
