I just booked my hotel for Botcon, only $40 / night for Fri & Sat. night through Priceline. I'm going the General Admission route since I was filling out the registration form the day the thing sold out (snooze, you lose). I still hope to get the set, boxed or loose, but time will tell. My wife & I are making the road trip, should be alot of fun.

The Extended Stay America in East Providence, it's 4 miles for the con (which I think is near a Motel 6) I always do the 'name your price' Shatner style.

The new meijers by M6 and Kalamazoo St in Gaines Township has their movie figures over by the groceries in the center isle.

All the delux figures, robot heroes, cyber stompers, the helmet, Ironhide, Starscream, the blasters,

Everything but Ratchet, VOyager Prime,

And holy crap, Leader Class Optimus was priced 50 bucks. . . Yikes. He's a good figure, but he's not THAT good.

Gah...it is so hot today...

Well, I finished up my last class requirement for my apprenticeship last night. ::Breathes huge sigh of relief:: Now all that is left is to complete about 500 more hrs...then I'm a full-fledged, card-carrying journeyman!!

The timing is perfect, because I get to reward myself (for my 4.0GPA) this weekend with new TF toys. :grin:

Ironhide, Blackout, and Starscream willbe mine Saturday!!

So, I wonder where God Magnus has been hiding?

GM is probably hiding on Moon Base 2. In all seriousness, he is in the middle of a move (still in the area), so I think his spare time is pretty limited at the moment.

Well, I picked up a Prime at the Target on Carpenter road this morning (Evil Lady wasn't there

) and I must admit, he is pretty sweet. I really like the vehicle mode!

They had one left, but the paint job was really really bad, so I wouldn't recommend anyone go for it. I don't know how they ended up on out for sale as the entire TF section is empty except for the protoforms.

JT, nice haul!!! I really want to find those Robot Heroes 2 packs!!

Thanks to JT I got a Barricade and a Blackout!!! Both are great figures and BOTH have a minion to eject! Hells yeah! Blackout is easily the best TF Helicopter I have ever seen.

I like Blackout too, and he is very good, possibly the gem of the movie line, but he still doesn't beat out many of my old G1 favorites...even if he is more poseable, and very life like. :-?

So...this is how my night went.

We showed up at the Lansing Wal-Mart (Eastwood) at 11:45PM. We walked around and saw a bunch of pallets but nothing much Transformers related besides some cases of deluxe figures.

At 12:01AM still nothing, walked around for a bit and couldn't find the guys from toys I had talked to a week or so ago about buying the movie stuff at 12:01 on June 2nd.

So we left and I was sad.

My girlfriend called the Jackson Wal-Mart around 12:15AM and asked if they had planned on stocking the movie toys that are supposed to be for sale on June 2nd. The guy said he was trying to make room for them so she asked if we showed up if we could buy them even if they were not on display yet. He said yes.

Well, the Jackson Wal-Mart once again comes though. Those guys kick some serious ass. We showed up around 12:50 and talked to the guy, he started pulling pallets of movie stuff I counted at least 22 cases of deluxe figures not counting the other stuff (2 very, very large pallets and one smaller one).

He gave us free reign over everything. Opening cases of figures left and right.

Ended up hauling out of there another $200 worth of stuff over the $180 I spent at Meijer a few nights ago.

This time I got:

2x Swindle
1x Bonecrusher
2x Blackout
1x Autobot Rachet
1x FAB: Cannon Blast Ironhide
1x FAB: Battle Blade Starscream
1x FAB: Power Hook Optimus Prime
1x FAB: Ion Blast Autobot Jazz
1x FAB: Double Missile Decepticon Brawl
1x FAB: Axe Attack Autobot Rachet
1x Bumblebee vs. Barricade - First Encounter (Wal-Mart Exclusive)
1x Robot Heroes: Optimus Prime vs. Ravage
2x Robot Heroes: Ultra Magnus vs. Megatron
2x Robot Heroes: Bumblebee vs. Soundwave

They didn't have any of the Robot Heroes 5 Packs, Bumblebee Unleashed or Leader Class figures unless they were on a pallet the guy didn't know about. Everything else they had at least 10+ cases including the Optimash Prime, Water Shooter, 3" Titanium, .etc.

Great run down there and the guy working toys was fantastic per-usual. Going to call the manager of the store again tomorrow and let her know how much of an awesome job those guys do and how they go above and beyond to be helpful!

damn JT, that is a huge haul! I unfortunately won't be getting any TFs today.. but I did get totally piss drunk at the pub last night. it was fun :grin:

no so fun this morning.. epecially considering I forgot to pack tylenol

Drive By, I'm just teasing you. I love all the TF helicopters. I still think my favorite may be Quickstrike, or the japanese version of E-Bulkhead (Superlink Sprung).

Damn Tigers! They had a 4 run lead going into the 9th inning and lost, 12-11... What in the hell is wrong with them? I hate the fact also that Cleveland seems to have both the Pistons and the Tigers numbers right now.
