Let's be honest. The undercarriage is a big problem for nearly every recent jet based figure. There a few good ones sure. But the designs recently have been pretty poor for most jet based figures.

And this is why Alpha Bravo was the best Aerialbot!

Why the face? You're completely right in every respect

I definitely agree, though I would point out he still has the other problem that almost every flying type figure has had recently with his arms just sitting there on the side. Though the helicopter bots at least cover them with missiles (water rockets for Blades?) so they kind of fit in.

Both iterations of wind blade fit this bill, and I'm surprised neither were on the list. The first I don't regret as much since it was the only version of a new character. That RiD one though.... buyers remorse...

For the Generations Windblade my main problem wasn't the undercarriage, but rather, what was above her-what are blatantly her lower legs, colored in red in comparison to her black colored jet mode.

Hmm. I'm disappointed ROTF_ Leader-Class Jetfire isn't number one. Yet, number one is pretty damned bad all-around. As long as Jetfire's on the list, it's good.

G1 Mega Pretender Crossblades

The pretender shell is human, with clothes and armor bits:



How can you hide that for the vehicle mode?
Well, you don't. Not even from the side, with hands and boots clearly in-your-face.


And the underside is just the guy, unchanged, hiding his face.


And the super combined mode is total junky madness...

The underside manage to be even sadder.


Still Crossblade is a lot of fun in his silliness.

Just for comparison, here's another Mega Pretender. But this one is incredible.

Being in the same class and generation/line as Crossblade, Tunderwing manage to hide almost everything of his "bot mode".


Even from under, the only bit you see are the arms. incredible.
