For once, not only is an "animated" Legacy toy look amazing from the start, the toy itself look way, WAY better than the original.
Amazing!
Amazing!

Obviously the head is in Animatred style and that's cool, but I wouldn't mind it as a neo-G1 'Bee with an alternate head. I'll probably get it.

I want to like it but it seems a bit like a clunky mess

Not digging that shoulder construction. Nor the fact that his feet are now backwards compared to the original design.
I really don't see what this offers any better than either the original Deluxe (which was an excellent figure) or the Takara-exclusive Jet Pack Bumblebee (which provided a smaller, more size-accurate version of the guy with less/better use of its kibble parts than the Deluxe).
Now, redeco/retool it as Wasp (something new and different enough that we've never gotten before in toy form), and then we'll talk.

While not perfect, this Bumblebee isn't as bad as I imagined it would be, and I'll definitely be buying one. It's nice to see that the non-G1 toys are slowly improving, it really feels like Hasbro actually listened to the backlash about those first few "Prime Universe" toys and are trying to course correct. I'm really excited for Pulsecon now, not just for the reveals but because I'm itching to get my Powerlinx Hot Shot pre-order in.

Is Animated BB a deluxe? Man they are getting smaller all the time.
I know "better engineering" is the reason often sighted, which I can understandtoa degree, but with this....It just really stretches that logic, especially when I see a $25 USD price tag of something that shouldn't cost more than $15. I know it would probably be a nightmare for plan o grams, but the original TFs had many different price points and scales. Not just 3 or 4 and we just try to shove everything in-between upscale because there is nothing between a $10-12 core and a $25 deluxe currently.

Bee could have done with a chest twist to keep the stripe on the same side and the windshield being more like the original. Kinda glad the feet arent the other way around as the bumpers would need to be facing upwards
Liking the vehicle mode on this one, other than the weapon holes/ports on the side it still goves off animated vehicleness.
Not sure If I'll pick him up though as there isnt really any other animated looking figures for him to go with...unless their animated prime looks more convincing than bulkhead or prowl.

Alt mode's perfect, and I think my only real critique of the bot mode is the too-small backwards feet. Other than that, that's basically a perfect G1-Animated Bee in my book. My personal ideal Bee for my collection is the Prime design, though, so I believe I'll be skipping this one until they put out repaints (Wasp please).

Legacy Deluxe Animated Bumblebee images found
- Motto: "'Til All Are One!"

Fellow Seibertronian Hokutron has pointed us to a couple of new ebay listings that feature none other than a Transformers Animated Deluxe Class Bumblebee figure from the upcoming fan-favorite Legacy line. The original Animated Deluxe Bumblebee was released in 2008. This new toy retains Bumblebee's friendly smirk, turbo boosters, reworked-stingers, and compact yellow car mode. It appears to be a nice representation of Animated Bumblebee.
The photos below are from ebay listings from merchants_of_moe and transmimi. It is highly advised that you use caution when buying from overseas sellers or sellers with low or negative feedback.
Check out the images below.

Here are some additional images provided by Sowndwave76 on Seibertron.com's Energon Pub forums.

Legacy Animated Prowl was a hard pass, but this Bee might be another story...if I didn't already have 3 extras of his original toy for the Clio custom I swear I'll get around to someday.
Looking at her commercial appearance again, I'm probably the only fan who thinks she looks similar enough to Animated Bumblebee for this to make sense, so I can't count on HasTak retooling this mold into her...but this will surely make a good Wasp down the road, and maybe they'll go nuts and repaint it into every variant in the Allspark Almanac!

The head and altmode look alright, but the rest is still lacking in most of the curves and proportions the Animated design was known for. Put a G1 Bee head on it instead and people would instead think it's just another Classics-style G1 Bee.
And what were once the front feet on the original design are now the heels of this design, with new tinier feet replacing them.

You gotta admit that this Animated Bee is MUCH more closer to the original as any of the Prime figures hoped to be. Even Animated Prowl.

Re: Transformers Legacy Line Discussion
I have been collecting the Legacy Junkions, in anticipation of their eventual combined mode, only to be pretty disappointed by the semi-official Junkasaurus build, once I had it in hand.
I searched around to see if anyone had any more interesting combinations, and I found nothing.
So I tinkered a bit, and came up with this, completely unofficial, but improved (In my opinion) Junkasaurus.
I used a Trashmaster, an Axlegrease, and a Scraphook, along with all of their components.
If anyone has any other cool Junkions combos, I'd love to see them! (I still have yet to find any really good 'Evo-Fusion' ideas for Trashmaster's parts, other than just swapping out the trucks front end)

The original TFA Bumblebee figure was perhaps my least favorite of the lot. The vehicle mode was fine, but the robot mode was a mess. Those horrible clown feet, the loose arms that keep falling off, the flimsy Stinger gimmick - they definitely seemed to have phoned in their design efforts with his figure.
The Legacy version looks much better, except it appears to be very small. It looks almost Core sized, and I thought that it WAS a Core figure at first, until I saw the translucent plastic windows. And the face detailing looks like it got scribbled on by someone with a Sharpie. I hope that's just a prototype and the final version will be cleaner...

Amazon says my Trashmaster should be arriving tomorrow, despite not actually shipping yet, so I probably won't have much time to mess with it. I've only seen one actual video online combine it the way it was teased, and they said the connections was very unstable. Im just looking for a stable bi-pedal configuration making it as tall as possible. I know the quadrupedal look inspired by TF RotF Devastator has a feral/savage appeal, but I'm trying to see if there is any chance this could be a contender to slot in with my other UW/CW/PotP combiners, since I'm still one Autobot team short of balance. Signs aren't looking good especially since Trashmaster appears to be the smallest voyager made in recent years.

First thing you'll notice is how damn expensive it is. 68$CAN (50$US) for non-Edge members plus taxes is a lot of money. Way, way more than Red Cog.
WHY?
This is why:
There is lots of stuff. The minicon Jolt is basically a CORE CLASS Transformers. Plus, there's two extra guns, plus two sets of 3 blast effects for 6 total.
The little Jolt is fantastic, despite his lack of paint.
He's complex enough and he's fairly articulated.
Hot Shot himself is not bad, but he's not great. Especially on th backpack that come undone too easily, as well has his knees. But otherwise, he's fine enough.
He really shine with his extra guns and theBLOOOOOOOOOOSH
effects.
Oh, and Jolt can do the hover mode.
The transformation is interesting enough. Plus the vehicle looks great. Except on my copy, the coloring on the roof panels are different and doesn't match with each others for reasons.
Fully equipped, the car is awesome.
My Armada crew is looking good! Now only Armada Wheeljack is needed. Plus if they can make the other minicons as core class figures. Maybe as a 3 pack?
Was is worth that much money? Ultimately, not really. I say the set may be 10$CAN too expensive. Regardless, I don't regret my purchase. I FOMO'd hard on this one and there's no way that I would gamble finding it on sale.
I'm looking for parts, Help Me Out Please!
