In short, stores will be open on June 15th and there will be a number of precautionary measures in place such as staff wearing PPE, shielding on tills to create a physical barrier between staff and customers, restrictions on the number of customers allowed in the store etc. From what I know, open hours may be in flux and I personally expect us to be closing earlier than we usually would at this time of year.

So, an update from my boss because my first day back at work isn't until Thursday, but Sky Lynx makes his retail appearance at Smyths. I'm not sure about how much stock there is between stores but this means that he is available. As usual, stock will be updated at 23:00 for in-store stock where if there is more than one available, he'll be available for click and collect

Called in at smyths today. I wanted to see what the cheap and cheerful aliens figures looked like, Cheerful and awesome, they are almost like g2 aliens toys and probably with just a coat of primer would be awesome/movie like too. I also spent time looking at the dragonball stuff as I've been killing time watching dB super but the figures don't seem to have any scale so wallet and space saved.

The transformers were pretty well-stocked (no scrap face ), skylynx, apeface, ss soundwave, ss bikes, ss shatter, jeep bee etc and siege omega back down to £130.

Was going to pick up hotlink as amazon's just cancelled the phantom strike set a year later (they have the firestormers set in now after I cancelled my order but its cheaper at kapow anyhoos). In the end picked up netflix megatron and mirage despite not liking their alt modes. If anyone wants mirages *and scrap faces teletram piece for free let me know.

So, I'm back at work and that means news!

First, as expected, Smyths has internal listings for all upcoming announced Earthrise figures. However, this still doesn't guarantee that we'll get them. There still could be a repeat of Seige wave 2 where they were on the system but we never got them. But hopefully we will.

But in the more exciting (?) news we have listings for the wave 2 Netflix releases. So, it seems that the Soundwave we saw might actually be the wave 2 Netflix release not Earthrise (though I wouldn't rule it out). Everyone is likely going to be a repaint again though of who it's up to speculation. I would personally like new molds for cybertronian Bumblebee and Wheeljack but they're probably going to be ER Cliffjumper and Wheeljack. I'm hoping that Elita-1 isn't another reuse of the Moonracer style figure. It could be a repaint of ER Arcee but it would be nice if it is a new figure altogether.

It's probable that these figures will be shown off at Comic-con at home as usually these things are shown soon whenever they appear on the Smyths system.

Hasbro have already said that bee wasn't going to be a simple head swap of Cliffjumper but this is interesting news, especially on the Soundwave front.

So just had something annoying happen on ebay, I was bidding and won Sideburn for the low price of £4, when I immediately get a refund... The seller had cancelled the order under the guise of item out of stock or broken -_- Anyone have any RiD 2000/2001 stuff they want shot of?

Interesting and kind of weird using the wording reissues before a figure has been released. Soundwave will be an easy pass if its just a repaint but it's probably going to come with target masters or a cassette. Same with optimus.
Not sure why impactor needs a third version too but if it's less stuff that I would like that's a good thing.

I don't think my rid stuff survived my son, Indemand had some preowned rid stuff recently but the descriptions didn't mention the glaringly obvious ugly chrome chips on deluxe sideburn and they had included prowls bits with him and not their prowl because incompetence? Their preowned motu stuff I got way before covid crisis was flawless and described well (apart from a long wait for it to be shipped out). Ebays prob best bet even if some sellers aren't reliable.

It's the same way the Smyths internally referred to the wave 1 Netflix stuff before we knew details. For the most part, it'll be that they can't be bothered to change them. I mean, Netflix Ultra Magnus is still listed internally as "WFC N REISSUE UNBOXING"

Not a toy sighting but transformers the movie is £4 (50p more than renting it) to own on xbox as part of their anime sale

(some other non transformers highlights are probably dragon ball broly at £4 -cheaper than renting, roosterteeths rvb series which although watchable for free I dont think we got physical release in the UK but it's been a long while since I was knowledgeable on dvds/blurays.)

From hotukdeals some Home Bargains (was sighted at Wilenhall) may have boatloads of siege sideswipe in at £10.

Kinda weird to not have his wave case mates but it looks like siege might be arriving at discount stores so always worth checking them for more (well apart from the risk of a virus).

So, the TF social media pages shared some images of the characters from the upcoming WFC Netflix show. While cool for the promotion of the show, it also gives us a better look at what the wave 2 Netflix figures will be like.
Looking at Elita-1, she does seem to hold some similarities to the ER Arcee, particularly in the torso and lower legs. The knees look different (though that might just be for the show model) but the arms are definitely new.
Bumblebee. As much as I want a cybertronian Bumblebee it looks like he's really going to be a VW-styled little yellow car. He also looks uncannily like ER Cliffjumper... From what I remember, tgey only really said that Cliff wasn't going to be a remold of Bee but I've not seen anything the other way around. Either way, everything from the legs down looks like Cliff but with new feet and new arms.

Bee doesnt have sideshow bobs..erm..cliffs feet so at least it isnt a straight repaint.

Scorponoks back down to £119 on Amazon tho they are still showing skylynx as arriving in September when he's already in Smyths -getting the feeling mine might arrive by Xmas, maybe.
