I'm sorry to tell you but your memeroy is faulty.He was never called Skyfire as a toy.

The 1 and only place he was called Skyfire was on the Cartoon.

Both the Toy and the comic books called him Jetfire.

No it was Skyfire. My parents got it for me at a Little store called kids world in San Antonio, TX. I saw it on the shelf and the Box said "SKYFIRE" I yelled " look Skyfire!" I said I wanted it and the follwing xmas My parents got it for me. I remember that whole scene like it happened yesterday.

I'm sorry to tell you but Hasbro never released the G1 figure under the name Skyfire.

The name was a made in the cartoon only and to this day there are a few theroies as to why it was done.

I was a steady collector back then. I started in 1984 and ended my first collecting period during the Action Masters era. I actually had so many that I think if I were to write them down, the list would be massive. I might edit this post later and add the names if I get a wild hair.

I'm the same. I collected them from the beginning and rarely missed any. I too stopped when the Action Masters came out. Action Masters concept was just lame.
