I thought the 1986 Movie went flop because of the "****" word during the Moonbase-1 munching?

This gave the movie a PG-13 rating. Which banned majority of its fans at that time.

It will surely be a hit if not for the PG-13 rating.

I think it was a combination of things, not just that.

Either that or they just wanted the 90 minute long commercial to attempt to be taken seriously, and we all know that when wierd al yankovic is on your soundtrack it wont happen.
