I'm looking to start a project and I was hoping that I could have some ideas. I need a pair of scout-size heads (about 2cm tall by 2cm wide by 1cm deep) that i can use as bases to make Tarantulas, and G1 Kickback.
I'm looking pretty hard, but any ideas you can give would be awesome.

Ah this is a tuffy. Unless you want to custom cast them yourself your looking for commision work from the sounds of it.
A cheaper alternitive is scrool through the galleries or find some of the right size heads and sculpt them your self using a dremel tool and some apoxy-sculpt( anywhere that sells gundam models should sell the stuff, its awesome) and actually make the heads yourself... Or scan ebay and look for those figures in a junk lot( tons on ebay right now) Most of the time lots go fast because customizers use that as a source of spare parts and custom fodder.
If your not up to doing it yourself I know of some customizers that might be able to do a commision of these but be weary..Sometimes the projects can take a long time and can be pricey..

I just need help figuring out which figures i can rip a head off of to use as a base. I've been digging through the galleries, like you suggested, i was just wondering if anyone had any ideas. I fully intend to do all the cutting, carving, dremeling and sculpting that I need to do to get it looking right.

Hmmm..When I needed some cool looking heads to use for a custom I either looked towards animated figures or movie verse figures. I've used animated bluurz head on a few and Sideways from the movie verse a couple of times as well..
For tarantulas maybe movie Stockade?
G1 kickback maybe animated swindle?
