If you wanted to display your collection with one mold per chacarcter and you wanted to use the best version of that character mold, what would be like?
I though it would be fun to hear people opinions and their favorites.
An interesting question

only one mold per character? geez, that's a tuffy. i'd have to say either Diaclones, Micro Change, and the other Pre-TF's like Shackwave or the Masterpiece and Binaltaechs. if you take a look at my collection it becomes obvious pretty fast that i am insane for the Pre-TF's because i love the history. but, i love the engineering on all the Masterpiece editions and a lot of the Binaltechs.
i remember when the Binaltech Bluestreak and Hound came out. i was floored by the engineering and was happy that they really tried to keep the faces faithful to the original G1 cartoon. it seems that whoever designed those Binaltechs and Masterpieces understood what Michael Bay and crew do not. Optimus Prime did not have any god damned lips and he sure as hell didn't have any cheesy ass flames. i'm not saying that they should have kept the original G1 blocky designs for these new movies, but they could have tried a little harder to put in a little bit more influence. whateves, i like to rant...sorry.

I grew up on the G1 cartoon, I'm all for the most accurate version. That is, if we're talking molds. Since G1 we've had new toys that look a lot more like what we've seen in the cartoon then the toys of yesteryear. MP Convoy looks more like Prime then Prime does, but lacks nostalgia.
