Egad! Those decos are so insane I almost want them! But if they're too big then no sale.

I assume the up-sizing is so that they can be made with cheaper plastic that won't stress or break during assembly, as smaller pieces of cheap plastic are more likely to do. Either way, I'm no fan of up-sized figures, knock-off or official; they lose some of their charm when they're blown up photocopy-style.

You know, I'll never understand why they go for these eye-searing colours. Are they cheaper to make this way, than if they went for something more pleasing to the eye? Is it to get kid's attention or something?
Missed opportunity: redecoing them as movie Barracade. I'm not really big into the movie toys, but I love that deco so, so much.

It's easier and more cost efficient to just slap whatever leftover plastic they have then to get and maintain a stock of specific colors.

Huh, those decoes actually look quite cool. Shame they're too big to be CW compatible and that they'll be made of horrible dollar store plastic in all likelihood. That said, if they're cheap enough I might buy one to practice my airbrush skills on.
Honestly, what I'd like to see is some crazy Four Star tier retooling/reshelling of the CW limbs at standard size. If they were made of good plastic I'd actually buy those and use them for "generics". Of course Four Star is long dead now, which is a shame because out of all the KO manufacturers they were some of the best- they used decent materials and almost completely re-engineered and resculpted the toys the bootlegged (which usually ended up more complex than when the original toys). If those guys took the CW limb-bots and retooled them into, say, Kenner-Alien-esque beasts that weren't homaging any particular Transformers character I would buy the slag out of them. And this is coming from someone who hates KOs!

I don't mind the crazy colours, in bot and vehicle mode they look nice.
However, what ruins the gestalt for me is the stupid head and chest colors.
Fine if you want to mod it I guess, but that is not me.
Too bad you can't combine the OS CW limbs with the OS KO of the 3rd part hot Spot Body (one with loopy stunticon limbs - ugh!)
