I only listened to the first few minutes so far, and didn't even hear the end of his thoughts, but Scotty is speaking to my soul on 44.

I want this figure, but no matter how I twist and turn and justify in my mind, I just can't bring myself to pull the trigger for $350 (it's current amazon.jp price).

Update on that SDCC debacle: my source who had ordered one had his pretty much cancelled. They did not actually cancel the order, but they cannot no longer find the stock to satisfy the order even though they charged him for it. So refund and promising him one when it comes back in stock. HAHAHAHASBRO

And then he also had his Zetar cancelled, same story. Got 2 Nightbirds that he did not order but no Zetar he actually ordered.

He was also a pulse guy who did not get his order in for Prime until day 2, and then this happened. And unlike me, he paid for his back 2 months ago. He is understandably furious.

Fortunately, it seems a generous other Podcaster and I have worked something out for TFcon, so here's hoping i finally manage to end this luck!

Finished the 'cast, and as usual I enjoyed it. As one of the sticks in the mud telling people to be smart when considering backing Unicron, thank you Scotty, for your PSA.

I was surprised one aspect of the weeks developments wasn't discussed....

Also, on your idea of making it a limited run of 10000, I take Dmax's side of it not working, but for a different reason. I think the 8000 mark was too high to shoot for. I honestly dont think that there are that many fans, in north America, willing and/or able to spend 600 bucks on something with no play value. Hell, even Seibertron said that he would take it out of the box to look at, then stick it straight into storage.


But hey, I was also shocked when it surpassed 2500 backers, so what do I k now, you know.

That started going down on Friday, or at least that's when I learned of it. We recorded last Thursday so didn't get to chat about it. Pretty interesting from an academic-like legal standpoint for me, might grab some highlights next ep.

At some point in the ep you mentioned how many days were left on the hot dog sale and I was like oh that was a couple days ago. I figured that's why you didn't mention the hot dogs specifically but what you said about hot dogs was still really applicable to the current hot dog situation.

That's assuming we're not talking about burgers.

Scotty, you did 44s storage bin wrong. You didn't push the extra heads down all the way. It takes a lil extra oomph, but if you do, plenty of clearance when you slide the tray home.

Oh it was totally my fault, I felt pretty dumb afterwards! Tried to be careful and not be too rough on pushing the heads in there led to unintended consequences. I don't mind a ton because I rarely use alternate heads on MPs but it does just kinda generally stink to know I damaged some parts.
