Music Label Convoy will be releasing very soon. It looks like Transformer fans in Hong Kong have already begun receiving their shipments. Folks in Japan should be receiving their supplies sometime this week, which means that folks in other countries should be receiving a confirmation very soon from their online retailers.
Music Label Convoy has a few interesting features. The mold is based on G1 Optimus Prime with a few twists. The most obvious one is that he comes in white. Despite being white, he is still being released as “Convoy” and not as “Ultra Magnus”. The figure will included a remolded head that is based off MP Prime. Music Label Convoy will be pulling a trailer that flips open to reveal a set of speakers, which will dock with an iPod and an iPod Nano.

Mmmm, I guess I like it. I'd rather see the trailer open out into the MP3 player, true G1 style but I do like th head mold.

I wouldn't mind scoring JUST the updated head, beyond that, I'm sure magnus must be pretty unhappy over this.

So seeming that it's safe to say that we like the updated head, what do think the chances are that this will become common on future G1 reissues?
After all, I think it would increase the collector value of Prime's using the origional head sculpt.
Eitherway, I have 1 or 2 spare Prime bodies, if I see this KO'd(and we know it will be) one of them is getting a transplant.

Does anybody have a pic of the trailer closed? Is there the gap in it always? Also, I don't have an iPod yet, but I'm planning to get an 80GB around X-mas. Is the dock the same for 20GB and higher iPods, will that one work with an 80GB?

This is probably the first time ever a white prime is NOT Ultra Magnus. Actually, this toy really reminds me of the cheap G1 Magnus whos cab had no paint apps at all.
The head's really nice. But I'd rather get Soundwave, if I get anything.

I'll be getting one, all white scares me though...that damn YELLOWING! The bane of all toy collectors. The reaction of colored plastic with light, oxygen and heat is bad enough...white is so much worse, and there is sooooo much of it here.

As for a redeco, I say do it right. Pimp this guy. You know, big brimmed feathered hat, fur trimmed purple coat, oversized rhinestone short cane, gold chains holding the jewled floodlights and windshield in place.
And just to up it, have the trailer turn into a giant Blaster with Jazz MicroMaster, and unfolded cardboard box accessory.
You know, for street breaking outside of Danceatron and all.
That I would pay for!

Yeah, I personally think Music Label Convoy is a bit plain. I am very excited that TakaraTomy is producing this, but I feel that a few more bells and whistles should have been added for the amount of money that he costs.
