Our friends over at TF08 have more hi-res images of Henkei Ironhide in both bot and vehicle mode.

These images also give us a clear look at what parts of the figure will be chromed, which is as you know, the defining difference between the US and Japanese figures.

Chromed bits and pieces:

Weapon ( blade still translucent blue plastic, gun barrel mat grey )
Headlights
Taillights
Front grill

Also of note is that the license plate no longer says anything and of course, Ironhides much better paint job both in robot and vehicle mode. Emphasis being on the face and "body side mouldings"

I don't know what to think of this. It's a mix of beautiful and ugly at the same time.

Though, like the Universe one, I think I'll skip this too.

It does look quite nice and I have pre-ordered it hopefully in time for Christmas because it looks a lot nicer than the Universe one but they still need to fix problems such as the head and also the jigsaw puzzle vehicle mode and possibly, changing the windows from painted to translucent plastic. I know the translucent plastic would make it weaker there but it'd be so much nicer if they did that. I'm sick of them substituting out translucent plastic for all-spark blue paint where it is slightly harder to install translucent plastic. No excuse!

i like it but i will re-paint mine to look like this one. just the shoulders and gun. but no chrome! too much shine i dont like chrome that much. i wish i could get it though

Are they mad? Chromed head and tail lights? The bumpers should be chromed not the lights, jeez are they retarded.

Lights should be blue in the front yellow/red in the back. Also those side windows suck where are the plastic blue windows we saw months ago?

How so? Because it has a yellow stripe and splashes of bling, because the packaging will have japanese lettering on it or beacuse it will bcost 3 times as much?

I much prefer this one to the US version, but then I prefer virtually all the Henkei versions. It's still not one of my favourite molds though, especially the ugly vehicle mode

Looks okay I guess, not really sure why they didn't chrome the brush guard while chroming the head and tail lights. I've already modified my TFU version so the head can come all the way up and painted the face silver, so I'll have to pass.
