Previously it was reported Takara Tomy will shift its production line from China to Vietnam by the end of this year. However it seems like some of the upcoming toys already produce in Vietnam now.

Actoys member feng423999 has posted a few images of upcoming movie version Leader Class Starscream. Interestingly the toy was stamped "Made In Vietnam" now instead from China.

Probably when the production is fully shifted to Vietnam, we won't get to see so much unreleased toy images that often.

i Still hate this design as being starscream, guess I always will. but it is still my favorite movie design, and the more I see of this figure, the more I want it.

Okay, no matter how you slice it, I'm still getting this. I really like the new detail lining, it makes it look even better, but hopefully that lining will be on the USA release as well, if not, well, I can still live with it.

Now, the one thing bothering me is that chipmunk voice, at the least, they could have made the voice sound like it did in the RoTF movie itself, even Leader Prime and Megs managed that. I understand not doing the heavily modulated voice from the RoTF game (even though it was cool to me), but the voice could have sounded at the very least as it did in the movie. Aside from that small complaint, I'm still set on getting this awesome figure.

The leader class normally get at least 1 repaint per line yes? Can you count the black prime from amazomn jpn as a repaint despite being limited?

In terms of movie accuracy this leader , like prime and megs is spot on..Tuff choice though...

Ryan, obviously you had a chance to experience this toy, firsthand, and it leads to me a question:

Is the gold/brownish/copper plastic going to be a problem? Are we going to see another GPS epidemic with this guy, or does he feel solid?

Does anyone else not like the tatoos? I did not like them in the movie either. I mean, what is the point of having an earth accurate vehicle mode for disguise with tatoos that instantly identify you as an alien?

I am a big F-22 Raptor fan. Maybe I can remove the tatoos myself.

Starscream is arrogant thats why he has tatoos but I did find the tatoos a lettle too dark... dark grey instead of black. please explain the section that is circled on the instructions? I found the voices in TF2007 sounded better than Rotf, they didn't sound... robotic eg Soundwave G1 cool, same voice actor but what a disapointment in Rotf.

I can't wait for this figure! If the tattoos are removeable, I might get 2! Anybody able to speak to paint app removal techniques?

I am not an expert at this, but I have used nail polish remover to remove some of the paint on the plastic components of my Binaltechs. I have been told there is a danger that nail polish remover can alter the color of the plastic, but I have not yet experienced this. Definitely get a second opinion.

in my experience acetone can lighten the plastic/make it go puffy. using a non-acetone nail polish remover takes longer/more work, but is safer.

I will wait until I can experience it in-hand, maybe see some G1 and "tattoos removed" customs. I still wish they had gone with the Seeker (jet drone) design from the ROTF game: http://badflipblog.blogspot.com/2009/07 ... rs-01.html

Do we know if the panel lines are a factory paint app, or are they the result of a Gundam marker?

I'm thinking the latter, but will be ecstatic if I'm proven wrong.

But still, what the heck? When will we start making stuff on our own backs as oppose to people in other countries? :BANG_HEAD:

Never. As long as the profits remain as they currently are, we'll never see US production. (TransFormers were never made in the US, BTW.)
