the head sculpt looks to be the same, but the colorscheme really brings out the details. Not bad for first repaint.

I mean, I own a Bludgeon, and the only thing I had with him was the warped sword, but other than that, was an awesome figure an all, but I was expecting something boat-y. While I think I prefer my BotCon09 Banzai-Tron, this guy is looking pretty sweet. Especially with the blue bladed sword. I think these colors work well on this mold. I'm leaning towards buying it, but I am gonna have to see how it looks in person first.

Toys have to be repainted though. And if this was named Night Attack Bludgeon or something instead of being a different character, I wouldn't care about it. I'm tired of movie characters being repainted into themselves with the same color scheme. So in cases like this when a toy gets repainted, I'm happy he gets a new name.
If this gets released here and Bludgeon doesn't, I'll gladly pick Banzai-Tron up. Although I would rather have Bludgeon himself.

Usually I'd agree that repaints ought to be separate characters rather than "Stealth" or 'Night Attack" or whatever but in this case the mold is so distinctly Bludgeon-y and there are so few other samurai skeletons in Transformers that I feel that's the only thing that would work. I love this mold but I think the BotCon boat version is more suitable.

Well that looks great, I already broke my no-repaint rule once this year for Animated Electrostatic Soundwave(dammit, he's Soundblaster to me) & I do so love the ROTF Bludgeon mold so i'm sold. I would like to see the green a bit more neon in the final scheme though. When I think Banzai-tron I think "God that green is burning my retinas". Hope the bronze shows up being that shiny as well and not dull like i'm sure it will.
