starscreamers wrote:Well, It defenetly needs a reboot. First of all it should be a serious movie, like Terminator or Matrix. " not a comedy". Second, the transformers are the main charecters, "not the humans". Third, Starscream is not a "egor" charecter with a hunchback as he is potrayed in the movies. He's just as powerfull as Megatron, so it needs to be made completly different. With a director like a "James Cameron" style of movie making.

Yes. It was.
I'd rather watch Batman and Robin over and over again before I watch the piece of crap known as Spider-Man 3. It was worse than RoTF. At least I can laugh at Arnold's idiotic one-liners in B&R. Spidey 3 had one thing going for it: Venom. But everything else, especially Tobey Maguire, ruined it. He was so wrong to be Peter Parker. James Franco, playing Harry, fit Peter so much better.
Whats so bad about SM3? Honestly? It has every thing that was great about the first two, plus a darker story and Venom! I loved emo spiderman, because thats exactly what I'd do if I was spiderman, go around and kill a bunch of criminals with no mercy! I've always wanted to see a ruthless Spiderman who doesnt take crap from any one. He was always being pushed around in the first 2 movies, but in the third one, it finally came back around full circle. So, honestly, what is so bad about it?

Spiderman 3 was a terrible retreading of what the animated series did in less time and better.(seriously go watch the 90s animated series take on the symibote saga. It shows just how good of a story we could have had.) There was just so many awkward moments as I felt embaressed for Toby Mcquire when I watched it. The whole jazz club scene was this giant big lipped alligator moment. ( http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/M ... atorMoment ) About the only thing Peter does the entire time he's being "evil" I could back and say ok he finnally showed some backbone properly was when he got Eddie Brock fired. The rest was just him being weird than evil.
Even when he tried kill Sandman he didn't actually kill him. Which Sandman's crowbarring into Uncle Ben's death just crapped all over the with great power with great responsibility theme. With Flint Marko killing him it didn't matter what Peter did then. His uncle still died. And to make it worse...then Peter killed a guy who was just a petty robber not a murder in his scuffle for no good reason. It's all one messy retcon.
Then we get the whole new goblin thing. I didn't mind Harry being a hero. Infact I'd preferred it just they couldn't see to make up their mind what they were trying do with him. Instead we see Harry get his face blow off and killed senseless later because this movie was all over the place. (which they foreshadowed Harry dying entirely too much. )One min he's all making moves on MJ, next he's black mailing her. Then his butler decides to reveal that Norman killed himself after Harry has made several attempts on Peter's life. This guy was endangering both Peter and Harry's lives by with holding the truth. Like WTF is wrong with this guy.
Vemon should have never been in this movie. I was fine with the suit being brought in and Spiderman wearing it. It could have found it's way to Brock but the conflict on that should been left to a whole nother film. Eddie Brock didn't just steal Peter's GF. He terrorized him. He humbled him and made him feel helpless. You can't stuff that into a 15 min section of a film and expect that to do it justice.
As a long time spiderman fan this movie failed. About the only thing cool about the film was the Peter and Harry team up at the end. I ultimately left the theather torn as was so much to dislike offset by a few cool moments that were getting it right.(I felt the same way about Xmen 3.) The whole movie just felt like someone stuffed several stories into a meat grinder and made a sausage that was this script. Too much was going on but nothing was fleshed out enough to have much meaning. It was alot like watching Heroes during season 2 and 3. They had several good directions to focus on. Just pick one and stick with it for awhile instead of trying do them all.
For those of you who thought TL:DR here's the cliffnotes.... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HoNgMVFQNBI&ob=av3e

Lastjustice pretty much summed up how I felt. And I didn't even really consider the Uncle Ben angle. My 2 main problems were how misused Venom was, after they did such a good job with Dr. Octopus, and Peter being all emo. I really didn't like that. If that emo crap was cut out, it would have made the movie about 30 minutes shorter and a hell of a lot more enjoyable. I did like to see the Sandman in there, though as was said, the whole uncle Ben plot was kind of messed up as well. The end fight was pretty good, and thankfully James Franco's performance didn't go to waste. I still say he would have made a much better Peter Parker. Casting Tobey Maguire was another huge mistake in the fanchise. Hell, even Topher Grace would have been better. The first 2 were good for what they were, but the third, too long, too much time wasted on useless parts.

Batman and Robin and Superman IV: The Quest for Peace are the worst comic-book movies of all-time.

I think they got it wrong with Sam Raimi.. Maguire did a decent job.

As you have proven many times over, everyone has the right to their own opinion.
