If there's any fan out there trying to decipher the code for the numbers Takara attributes to their masterpiece releases, well here's another wrench thrown in just for you. On Takara's Thundercracker ordering page, they have a whole section dedicated to an offer for fans in Japan who buy all three new seekers, revealing that Skywarp's number will also be MP-52 +. It states that those who buy Starscream, Thundercracker and Skywarp can send a specific proof of purchase to them and will recieve the coronation accessories, see image below, for MP-52 Starscream and only have to pay shipping costs on that. There is no clue how these parts will be made available for people outside Japan since Takara does not, by law, attend to that market in anyway. For those in Japan, more details on this campaign will come out when they reveal Skywarp.

Is this image of the actual accessories? Because it looks to he exactly what we’ve gotten before as far as the cape and pauldrons go. I ask because it looks like the yellow blast effects are from the new MP-52 version.

The cape and shoulder parts are identical yes. Both MP11 and MP 52 have the same slots on the shoudlers.

Am I ambitious enough to mail away for this and have it delivered to my Tenso address in Japan...? I guess that depends on if the order form is filled out online and printed out because I sure can't fill out a physical form! Hopefully Hasbro finds a way to make this work and hopefully it doesn't involve mutilating the boxes for UPC codes or something.

I just didn’t know it it was perhaps a placeholder morning mage; I guess I never noticed that MP-52 has the same shoulder slots as MP-11.

So I, already owning MP-11, will not need to deal with this weirdness...hmmmmmmmm...(insert devious sideways glance)

Well this is weird and is the final nail in the coffin that Takara have any clue what they're doing with the numbering system.

What I'm more surprised about is that Takara managed to fight the desire to sell the coronation gear with another redeco of Starscream as a single set.

In a sense it's split between 3, with presumably two being exclusives. In other words, instead of getting one to get the whole set, you have to get 3

Just got charged by Pulse for Skywarp a little earlier than expected. Shame Hasbro never made any attempt to offer the coronation gear for Starscream.
