Timezones shouldn't be a issue with the one leader, because hopefully, that one leader has the foresight to install some people who's time is different enough from theirs yet they share some time together so that they can set up stratigies to cover if the leaders gone. Or if the leader trusts them enough, allow them freedom to lead in their absence.

Which brings us right back to why not just have a leadership council with one person as a ceremonial button pusher

Exactly where is the correct thread?

Since I couldn't gain access to it, I'm guessing it is in the Con faction forum or RDD forum. Ok, the error it gave was that the thread didn't exist.

Interesting, might be another bug for OS to fix then. I doubt me being a Maximal Mod would have anything to do with it though.

While you can do that, look at how most successful governments are run. Not by councils, but by one person with a group of advisors and stratigests under them to help make the best decissions.

Difference is, a council everyone has equal say, and generally everyone has their own agenda. Governments run better with a central leader who has final say. It's really that simple. But hey, this is the diplomats thread, not the leaders thread, and all four factions can do it however they want. So if you guys decide to go for a council, that's your choice. ^_^

Nothing wrong with that. *L* In truth, I have no say over what the preds are going to do, I've just been voicing my opinion on the matter. I just hope it's heeded.

My opinions generally run different then the majority of the HMW players. While I have a vote, that doesn't mean my vote will be the winning one.

What I was going for was to have a Mod position that would be in charge of Leadership position removal.... where in the mod to which complaints are given and if there are numerous complaints could either step in and get the leader on track or remove him from that term.
My reasoning behind it was b/c
A.) I'm not sure how accurate voting someone out would be because either all the people that don't like or do like what that person is doing will vote, thus skewing the accuracy.
B.) I don't want OS or all the mods to get bombarded with complaints when just one could be the overseer of leadership complaints

Something like that will be handled by the general HMW staff. If you have complaints against your leaders that cannot be rectified within the faction, you will come to us and we will make the call whether or not to oust the leader.
Make sence good call Mkall

Sort of. In as much as I had a say in Bush being elected twice. I can cast my vote and make my opinion known, but if everyone goes "To bad, you go off for months at a time to much for us to listen to." then that's how it goes.

Overload, Sprock is pulling your leg. OS didn't give us a real set deadline for the ambassadors to be selected. I know the Maximals are still trying to figure that out but hopefully by the tiem OS gets back, we will have a good idea who it will be.
