Liege Evilmus wrote:shortround wrote:So they went back to the drawing board with the new animated series and designed it to appeal to the power rangers age range. But the good news is hasbro has thought of the older collector with new universe/classics 2.0 line of toys this oct 08. So save those pennies and if you need something to tied you over consider takara encore series of toys.
This is one of the dumbest things I've read in a while! Hasbro is getting their asses handed to them by Power Rangers and Disney!?!
Jeez, I can't recall EVER seeing a shortage of Zords, Buzz LightYear and Princess crap.
Liege Evilmus wrote:Second, it's yet another "New Begining". Transformers have begun, restarted, and began again umpteen million times over. We have all these starts that are a new take on whats already happened, so fine, we know the deal, what next already!?!
No other franchise treats their fanbase with such disrespect, Star Wars, Star Trek, Terminator, Macross, DragonBall, Evangelion, Naruto, StarGate, and on and on and on always make it a point of nodding to and respecting both continum, and both the old and new fanbase.

Just yesterday, I was in a shop where they've now shifted the transformers to a small area in the back the back and replaced that whole prominent section where transformers used to be with Power Rangers.

Every time I go to Wal-mart I see the spot were TFs used to be left bare pegs, when they aren’t bare, there are kids and adults looking and buying.

See I only believe those pegs are bare BECAUSE THE PRODUCT SOLD. I also believe that the slots are stuffed with Power Rangers and Star Wars BECAUSE THE PRODUCT IS OVERSTOCKED DUE TO IT NOT SELLING, HENCE THEY AVE IT TO FILL THE SPACE.

And no, this isn't a G1 thing, it's a quality thing.

Aside from shoddy distribution and failing to keep up with demand, the thing working against transformers as I see it is that they really junked up the line with toys no one wants and shops can't sell.
That shop that downsized their TF section and moved it to the back? They've had the same crummy transformers tech, Cyberstompin' and CyberSlammin' junk since July or August. It just isn't moving.

Don't damage it, just mark it so you can pick it out in a week.
Go back is said week and I bet you'll find every mark you left except the one on the TF.
Nekoman wrote: My local stores (Wal-mart, target, ect, ect) can barely keep anything on the shelves besides real gears, you must not remember Ultimate Bumblebee being the most desirable toy back at Christmas or back in July us finding out that Hasbro sold three million Transformers toys between June and early July.

the cartoon is different a good change and when you are watching it, its not like watching a 20 minute comercial like energon and cyberton. the figures are great! look realy fun and will look great next to my others. in my opinion it is the only transformers series that can live up to generation 1
Bonger wrote:The first episode didn' even make sense. They show Prime watching "Historical film" of the war depicted in G1. Yet when they show up on Earth, noone knows what TFs are. Huh?

Nonsense was what G1 was all about, so we're good.
