I thought the movie line came out on its original release date? The movie itself was bumped up a couple days and some people found the toys a week or two early but that’s about it.

Wonder if kids will retain interest for six months though.

Sorry about that, I thought it was the toys that got bumped up. Anyway they still got six months to change their minds, I mean when the sales figures drop that's when they'll get their butts into gear and release them.

My mom(who works for a Wal-mart) heard from a friend(who is the Toy Superviser) that they may release them soon but isn't sure when. I'll keep you posted on this lead until I get more realible intel.

BOT: I don't see why they can't start overlaping the 2 lines (MOVIE & Animated) now. They've doen it before.
Overlap happens almost every time a line begins AND the marketing could take advantage of the MOVIE toys' sales by jumping on it's tail. Kids will come into the stores, hot for the movie and see the new stuff or come in for the Animated selectiona dn pick up a few MOVIE things that catch the eye.

Why does it always have to be feast or famine? If they paced it properly we could have a steady trickle of new toys coming in all year round.

Y'know during the shortages, I'll buy almost any piece of junk they have left(just picked up protoform Starscream), but when everything arrives at once, it's a bit of a stretch to get what I want before they sell out.

You just answered your own question. If they paced stuff properly, would anyone buy the worse fgiures? No.

I really doubt the kids will be into transformers in six months time due to the fact power rangers jungle force or whatever there calling the new series will be out next month and toys are already hitting store shelves. They should have had the animated figures out this month or next to tie in with the show like they did with armada, energon, and cybertron.

If the release date for the states is June, then it'll be something like, gorram December before they land on Australian shores

I for one really, like the animated toys (sorry - Figures) based on what we've seen so far. Not because I necessarily like the visual style of the show (it's a lil too much for me, but my 2yr old daughter loves it)... but simply because the toys manage to retain the visual look of the show and still transform into reasonable looking vehicles - quite the feat in my opinion.

To the TF:A lovers - the Haters are right, they DO have the right to dislike the show. Deal with it, let them focus on other lines.

To the TF:A haters - While it's ok to dislike the show / toys - will your rants here affect the release dates of the toys? That is afterall what this thread is about.
And if your rants could cause Hasbro to cancel the toy-line, is it worth preventing other collectors from obtaining toys that THEY like?

The only good news about Animated figures hitting in June is that I should be able to save $$$ after getting my pre-ordered Sky Lynx and Omega Supreme... Still don't see that airing the cartoon 5 months ahead of a toy line release as being a smart business move, but whatever. I'll buy them and I'll buy all the new Classics come August.
