I did consider it but in the end chose not to get any of the 3 p combiners. While the cost is an issue, the reason I am not fond of them is because I have fun with the scramble city style Hasbro is doing. I like keeping the option to be able to mix and match even if I might not do it. And I really love playing and transforming my toys often. Quantron, from what I read, is not fun to keep transforming back and forth and is made more to be a collector piece for a shelf. Thats not my preferred play pattern at the moment since I have no shelf to pose my tfs on. They are in boxes and I take them out to transform them, have fun, maybe take some pics and then transform them back into the easiest mode to store them in, back in the box.
If Hasbro fails on Computron, it will be sad for sure (they are off to a bad start), but I am not in need of the character that much to go third party. And I would much rather have a combine that matches with the rest (like go third party for most or go Hasbro all the way for consistency's sake).
And Cobotron, glad to know I have you backing my corner. And while you and others find that the vehicle mode is not the worst part, I think it is just as bad as the rest of this toy. The only reason I forgave the insane amount of undercarriage kibble on Silverbolt was because I found it a fun homage to the G1 toy. But using that mold for any other character makes the undercarriage a serious shortcoming. I think it looks really silly on Scattershot especially when there are a bunch of holes across the ship's top that shows the kibble from the top as well as the bottom.
