After everything I reversed Galvatron's arms and put the plugs from Larkin's Lair or JRC in.. I might even have extras if you need em.
I was fortunate that the Galvatron I purchased from Target on Monday was correct. However I've seen so many comparison pics. I've seen the ones with the misassembled shoulders and the *rough* edges on top etc... , and frankly, if not for the internet, I probably wouldn't have even known if I had purchased an incorrect one. If it doesn't effect Transformation, I'm not sure what the big deal is. I hear a lot of people say the shoulders look off "sitting so low", honestly, the difference is miniscule if at all. But if anyone feels compelled to fix a defective version, more power to them.
I've been rotating the shoulders off and on for the last couple hours and I have no strong feelings one way or the other. They sit too high the "right" way; they sit too low the other way. The pinholes don't bother me at all, and I don't mind not being able to peg the treads into the back of the arm since I think that looks too static and restrictive.
At this point I'm sure I'm not going to reassemble the arms, and I don't plan to get pin covers. I've gotten a couple unlicensed mods in the past from Nonnef, but it doesn't really appeal to me here.
Overall he's great, I'd rather be playing with him now than mess around looking for a better version at retail. The shoulders also aren't close to my biggest issue with him, either. I'm having trouble getting the alt-mode to click together tightly between the folded-down shoulder pegs and the clips on the lower chest. But that also doesn't really matter, I'm more worried about cracking the plastic from forcing it than I am having slight gaps in the bottom of the cannon.
Anyway, Kingdom + SS86 rules, TF:TM rules, toys rule.
