Thanks s250!
Odd that the separate figure is named Demolishor, but the Devastator component is named Scavenger. Make up your mind Hasbro

The fact that each vehicle doesn't even have a Robot mode is the biggest fail ever. We're in the year 2009, and we don't even have the technology to make something like that happen.
Epic fail.

Re: ROTF Supreme Devastator set package
Im just trying to figure out how far this thing will have to be marked down for me to pick it up. The idea was growing on me, but somehow seeing that face in the box just ruins it. I am almost thinking that this may be a Target 70% markdown, but I will probably consider it at 50% off. We will see how it looks in store and reserve final judgment. Definately not worth buying a second if they do a G1 colored repaint.

Re: ROTF Supreme Devastator set package
The fact that there's a "try me" on the crotch, makes this totally worth buying.
I'm a little confused though. The Legends version requires 7 figures, but this one requires only 6. So will there be 6 or 7 in the movie?

OH MY GOD...this looks awesome, unfortunate about the no robot modes, but that wont stop me buying this wonderful figure. Any idea how much ($AUD) this'll set me back, and can someone 'decode' the bio for devastator...i cant read it lol

Re: ROTF Supreme Devastator set package
Pass-arooney. Don't need it, does not look cool enough, Would rather have a masterpiece seeker for the cash and Ill take the Legends set with the change.
Then when there's a scaled up knock off version of the legends set in G1 colours ill have that un all.
Nice box though
Lovely sharp corners that's going to take some kids eyey out.

Needs some extra paint, kinda pissed-off that it's missing one component. but I'll wait for better pictures to surface before I decide to buy it.

Still don't like the design of Devastator and having 6 vehicles that don't transform to robots is the final nail in the coffin for me, PASS!!!

What I can decode from the blurriness...
"The ultimate DECEPTICON weapon has arrived on Earth, and nothing will ever be the same. CONSTRUCTICON DEVASTATOR is the biggest robot ever towering above AUTOBOTS and DECEPTICONS alike. As his Vortex Grinder snaps open and glows with power, all before him quake in fear, knowing their destruction is inevitable!"
Hrmmmmm... I'll wait to see him in stores before I make up any 'buy' or 'pass' decisions.

I'm so confused-is Devastator going to be 6 or 7 robots? The legends set is 7.
The flip/flop naming of Demolisher/Scavenger is strange too.

Pass. These guys must be able to change into robots for me to pick it up. It's ironic, really. If this were labeled 'Voltron' or something, not changing into robots would be acceptable.

Finally, I guarantee some store will get this as an exclusive re-colored G1 Devastator. I speculate the 'Scavenger' name was applied (or reserved) because of this. Maybe I'll pick up, then. See how the pricing works out.

Re: ROTF Supreme Devastator set package
ok first off,
Demolisher and Scavenger are TWO separate robots.
second,
i'll only buy this if this SO CALLED SUPREME FIGURE is taller than the ROTF Leader Class robots.

Some are Voyager-class, too. None of them, however combine. The only version that offers all 3 modes (so far) is the EZ version (legend size) from Takara.

Re: ROTF Supreme Devastator set package
From all the marketing layouts of the robot listings they list Scavenger and Demolisher as separate characters.
And the toys are also way differnt.
Even wiki lists them as 2 separate bots

Demolisher and Scavenger, two robots that share the same alt mode, same robot mode and same general color scheme...I said it before and I'll say it again, it smells fishy.

Re: ROTF Supreme Devastator set package
I think I'll pass and wait to see if perchance Hasbro/Takara/whoever would release in the future a Devastator that will be larger in size and with vehicles that have robot modes.
And has anyone else noticed how Devastator in the movie clips walks on all fours like an animal? I think it is an interesting idea--the mental capacity of the six having to work together lowered G1 Devastator's IQ. Maybe that's the point of him crawling around instead of walking...forming an animalistic creature rather than a normal robot...
