It's the images we've all been waiting patiently for, War For Cybertron Optimus Prime and Megatron! Thanks to the folks at UGO, they've got the exclusive scoop on the two Transformer Leaders. Both figures are Deluxe sized, and take the form of Cybertronian styled vehicles - Optimus is the truck we all know of but also acts as a tank. Megatron is a hovering tank! I like both. Not a huge fan of Megs' would-be-called "hands", but I still like him. Prime looks nice. I'd like to see Soundwave revealed.

it looks like Megs has a second half to his hands that weren't folded out, could be wrong but otherwise his hands look way to small. loving Optimus tough

Prime looks great. Not a big fan of this version of Megatron design yet, but the toy is faithful to the video game.

Hope I get to take pics of these toys in person at Toy Fair in a few weeks to share with all of you.

I didn't really need these pictures to confirm my status on WFC. The toys homage the Dark Days of Cybertron.. that's something, as a TransFan and Collector, something you can't miss out on. Onto the toys.

Prime - That Robot Mode is so solid. Looks really bulk, and that just awesome for a Commander. The vehicle mode is totally WW, can't miss out on that right there...

Megatron - ROTF Ravage? Nah, I think the BMFG makes up for everything that the Robot Mode isn't doing right.

I like the design for prime and megs is interesting enough, but offhand I don't foresee these being part of my collection at this point.

hey less money i'm giving to Hasbro is more that I have to give to Fansproject.

I like Megatron's cannon, it looks appropriately bad-ass... that said, the figures look chunky like Titanium line bots. so many games are getting awesome figures these days, even new characters get decent detail and paint apps - yet all our beloved characters get for WfC are some deluxes? I don't see these standing up with Halo or Gears of War figures, the exact gamer demographic the game is aimed at. whoever said Voyager would have been better, I agree. I'll wait to see more pics, but I'll probably pass.

Aside from the mistransformations (Prime's leg not being fully extended, and his backpack looks like it needs to be snapped into place somehow, but i could be wrong, and Megatron's hands definitely appear to have some more transforming that hasnt been done) these look pretty good.

The head sculpt on Prime looks fantastic.

I'll be picking these up for sure.

I don't think its transformed wrong, I think its just a weird perspective because one leg is posed differently. They look the same length, just posed different.

and, why is Prime's gun bent to the left? It's like curved

Prime looks decent, decent enough that i may actually consider buying it, but Megs just looks aweful. Maybe it's transformed wrong in bot mode, but it just looks like junk. Same for it's alt mode, crap.

There's a folding joint in the middle. I wonder if it will be a common problem for the gun to not be able to straighten...

I'm not keen on non-realistic earth alt modes so will probably pass on most of this line but these two are a must.

Megatron seems to have treads for arms that are folded away in alt mode. Will he have a flight mode and a ground tank mode?

Optimus Prime: Love the robot mode. It retains the basic look of G1 Optimus while at the same time looking alien. Alot of the War Within designs I thought did the same thing but Optimus' War Within design was one that I felt was lacking in the chest design. This guy actually has wind shields and a grill.

The Vehicle mode however does not look as cool as it did in the previews for the game. Guess because I never really got a good look at the front end. He kinda looks like a Cybertronian Bullet Train rather than a truck or a tank. The front just seems way to smooth and round.

Megatron: Robot mode looks misstransformed. What the heck is going on with his arms? Arms aside he otherwise looks amazeing and I'm sure a proper transformation will make him look much better.

The vehicle mode looks like it has a few small wings attached which I guess are supose to make it look like this thing can fly but really... it's a brick with a cannon on top. Quite possibly the worst Cybertronian vehicle mode I've ever seen. And that's even counting all the movie designs which have been compaired to turds and flying thorn bushes. I mean really if this thing is going to even give the suspence of dissbelief that it can fly because it's not the first flying brick, it's wings have to be bigger than that. At least the wings on other figures are actully noticeable. I was stareing at this thing trying to figure out what it was for about 5 min. before I noticed it had some small wings attached.

At any rate they've allready announced this game and the toy line, I really hope we're getting a War for Cybertron SERIES. But if we did get a series out of this the question is weather or not this is set in the same universe as G1 or if they just have G1 inspired designs.

Um... they're not "non-realistic EARTH alt modes" they're CYBERTRONIAN modes. It's called War for Cybertron for a reason.

Pluse most toys are "non-realistic Earth alt modes" with the only exceptions being, Masterpiece, Alternators/Binaltech, Human Aliance, or really anything that could pass as a model car rather than a transformer. You know as long as you don't look under the car and realize there's a bunch of robot parts stored away. Or if it doesn't bother that transformers don't have actual interiors than you can allso include G1 and movie sence the exteriors are based on real vehicles. R.I.D., Armada, Energon, Cybertron, and Animated however all have made up vehicle modes which are passable but not realistic Earth Vehicles. Hell even the Classics toy line doesn't look realistic. But as I said before, War for Cybertron are not ment to be Earth vehicles.
