Japanese online store - Rakuten has opened the brand new pre-order page for Takara Tomy Transformers DVD Legend.
The product contains 8 DVD for the whole set, with selected 8 episodes of Generations 1 cartoon.

This product is not entirely a DVD selling exercise. According to our informant, each package will contain 1 Transformers Reveal The Shield Legend Class figure.
So far we have seen several Hasbro version RTS legend class figures such as Optimus Prime, Megatron etc.

The scheduled release date of DVD Legend is in the middle of June 2011.

The only Takara RTS legends figure that's superior to the Hasbro release is Megs without the crappy orange tip. Otherwise, I don't see a whole lot of value in this... Unless you've always wanted to watch Transformers in Japanese.

legends class figures eh, i wonder if they will be RTS only or will they rerelease past classics legends that would tie in with the episodes chosen. may have another chance at wheelie, beachcomber and cosmos here

why? just because it is possible to fit more than one episode on a disc does not mean that it is impossible to put only a single episode on a disc.

Nope, each DVD does contain one single episode. The one with the enlarged cover has the episode "Transport to Oblivion", Season 1 episode 4. According to the listing, these episodes are featured:

・スペースブリッジ作戦: Operation Space Bridge (Transport to Oblivion)
・ダイノボット誕生！: Dinobots are born! (S.O.S. Dinobots)
・マスタービルダー : Masterbuilders (The Masterbuilders)
・パニック・ザ・クレムジーク！: Panic the Kremzeek! (Kremzeek!)
・ホイストハリウッドにいく : Hoist goes to Hollywood
・不思議の国のダニエル : Daniel's Wonderland (Daniel in Wonderland)
・クモの巣ダニエル : Daniel's Spider Nest (Nightmare Planet?)

BBTS has a pre order up for a case of EZ Collection figures and the G1 RTS legends were in there so these might be different. All kidding aside I'd go for these just for the novelty if the price is right.

I may have solved the mystery of the second "Daniel" episode. It's nothing more than a typo, the Japanese episode title is actually クモの巣惑星 : Planet of the Spider's Nest. You guessed it: it's the episode "Webworld". The full line up is then as such:
