Available today, the Oakley 3D Gascan® Transformers Limited Edition offers unparalleled performance to provide the ultimate 3D entertainment experience.

This special edition of Oakley 3D glasses carries graphics inspired by the movie, which will debut in the U.S. on June 29th. One side of the frame is highlighted by the AUTOBOT SHIELD icon while the other carries the emblem of the DECEPTICON shield icon. Enriched with more film-inspired art, a custom Microclear™ bag is included for lens cleaning and frame storage.

I could name a hundred Transformers items that can actually TRANSFORM that i would rather purchase for $150.00. Perhaps if the lenses could be swapped out with some nice polarized lenses I would consider it.

Agreed. Plus, it's not like the theater isn't still going to charge you the inflated ticket price to rent their glasses just because you brought your own. At least that's not the case around here; we've tried.

It's an Oakley folks. You're paying for a brand name. They are regularly expensive. And since they're still Gascans, albeit a limited edition one, I'm willing to bet you probably can swap out lenses.

True, i'm sure you could swap out lens, but you now have to buy lens on top of the already inflated price. i eman, i guess its not that bad of a deal, but esentially your going to end up paying an extra $100 (the same model sun glasses cost about $95) just for TF logos on the side. To some it might be worth it. To others it just seems like taking advantage of a product name to over inflate pricing.
