My only complaints about Cosmos are that his tower is too tall in vehicle mode (minor gripe since I'll be displaying him in bot mode and there it's the right size) and his 2 3-barreled blasters aren't on his arms but on his shoulders.

Wouldn't you know it the one Walmart I stopped at yesterday had only remnants left, Burn Out and another bit no Cosmos or Clampdown. Then on my way home I decided to stop at the one that almost never gets anything and to my surprise it looks like they had just put them out as all but Cosmos was still there, so I picked up Clampdown but Cosmos was top of my list. The Hunt continues!

Strangely I thought these wouldn't be put out till the 12 since that's the availability date listed online.

Takara revealed that the Velocitron line will also be exclusive in Japan, meaning importing it from Japan will not be a viable option.

I got real lucky yesterday at Walmart, found the voyagers and Scourge! Someone had hid Override behind the army of SS86 Starscreams, but I'm better than that.

Enjoying Override quite a bit, she is a lot of fun and looks great with Metroplex. A bit bummed her thighs are a little loose, but otherwise she is a lot of fun.

Hauler is actually quite a surprise, I am really liking the claw hand and the colors in person. Wife also surprisingly likes him a lot, that was the one that grabbed her attention.

Scourge is a bit of a dull bulb? This is my first experience with the mold, and I am not as impressed as I thought I would be. I don't like how the arms work, my outer arm movement is a bit funky with where it will sit, and the mold just doesn't feel as good as I would like it to? Like, not bad plastic, just not that solid as it looks. I'm a bit bummed, I was excited for Scourge, but of the 8 figures he might be the one I am enjoying the least.

Oh, and that weapon is nonsense. I did not like the sword halfway into axe thing much to begin with, but in hand i like it less. My sword won't even stay in the axe.

Walmart should 'theoretically' be over the moon over this Velocitron line as it brings in people, but I'm only one of many who simply aren't buying the other deluxes (and maybe even Vpyagers) until I get the two one-pers. I actually want the other ones, but I have limited money, so I'm keeping my powder dry for those. THey aren't getting an extra dime out of it, just making me go into the store more. IF that's the goal, then mission accomplished. If it's to get me to buy more...mission failed.

I don't know how much "extra" foot traffic they expect to get from said exclusives beyond the normal hordes that do shop there daily, all I know is that I don't step foot in Walmart unless it's to hopefully spot one, if it's not available online. And 95% of the time it doesn't net them any extra sales as I would simply but what I was there for and maybe a drink on the way out for the drive home, or I leave empty handed due to them not having said items in stock.

I find it weird that Override and hauler are both available for in store pickup while none of the others are despite being in stock, I'm curious if they simply do not have the DLX SKU in the system yet.

Having Exclusives to a store is not generally a problem.

Having exclusives that are one per case because Hasbro reasons... is somewhat of a problem.

Having exclusives that are one per case because Hasbro reasons and the store does not stock or will not re-stock until the rest of the case has been bought up, may be the main issue here.

With that said, after $110 bucks of Menasor shipped, I'm glad I don't need to get any of these exclusives. Outside of Override, I have no interest in any.

Let's me get some cheap older stuff instead, while I wait for Amazon to ship my Legacy Blitzwing.

Ya know, it's kinda interesting to me that the figure I was most excited for in the wave is the one I feel the least excited for in-hand, and the figure I was most likely to skip in the wave is one that is sort of a standout to me and a lot of fun. I'm surprised at myself for this

Walmart actually dictated the case ratios, so it’s not Hasbro’s fault. Walmart is a corporate bully that is financially solvent only because they abuse their employees, customers, and venders to get marginally lower prices to entice shoppers into their third world countries stores. Hasbro has “Oops, All Cosmoses” cases available to retailers, but it means nothing if Walmart doesn’t order them.

Saw many Scourges a few days ago, but I passed. I'd get Cosmos or Override, but only scourges were there.. i don't care much since I already have a different nemesis prime and I have a laser prime.

Well, 2 parts to that.

For Hauler, the colors and paint work in hand are really nice, surprisingly so. The screaming head is also more appreciated in hand. I never got Grapple, so the claw is new to me, and I really like it and what it can do. I also love what you can do with the crane in robot mode and alt mode, it is really fun. So yeah, I was bored by his reveal, but in hand thanks to not having Grapple he has been a very pleasant surprise.

As for Scourge, I did not get Laser Prime, so this is also my first experience with the mold. and it has disappointed me some. I do not like the way the shoulders work in either component, the arms seem too small in person and the joints are weird, with the wide set on the outward shoulder movement and the weak elbows. I don't like that you can't get his arms to raise up like the TR figure. I also don't like him using the ER Prime lets, they feel too lanky for what he is supposed to be.

So overall, Scourge is just not as fun as I had thought he'd be in person. He feels a bit dull, whereas Hauler proved to be a scream. He's not bad, but I think there was lots of room for improvement on him. I still think the TR one is actually the better Laser mold.

Man herein the far north am still very patiently waiting for my local walvarts to put any of the Velocitron stuff out at all. Nothing is showing up online or on brickseek so hopefully this isn't a case of scalpers and children beating me to the punch :lol:

I really hope Walmart hasn't delayed online orders just to give preference to their brick and mortar stores. I know that's their focus and main draw, but it would really rub me the wrong way.
