They are the same price as voyager figures.

Understandable for the seekers because they have the parts and size to be voyager, and it's even understandable for Hound, who is small but hefty and have lots of stuff with him.

But the G1 Insecticon barely count as a small deluxe of today and it just have a gun and a cube. They could have at least put in some more original accessories to justify the price. Like why not a human figurine, Army-Men type but painted?

The Insecticons are $5 less than a Voyager in the US.

And yet I’m considering them because they’d be the only ones I’d get.
For me, they look the best out of any so far.

The G1 reissues in cartoon colours of Perceptor and Kickback appeared in Canada last month but have yet to be found in the US. Below are images of this new Perceptor compared to the previous reissue which was a straight rerelease of the G1 toy.
A few points to note:
- the instructions only show 1 alt mode (microscope)
- the microscope is not functional



















For those curious about Kickback, here is a review showing comparisons to the G1 colours as well.

It'd be cooler if Rogue was driving Percy's vehicle mode, since her powers work a bit like his universal emulator (though much more like Animated Elita-1's power).

I can already see all the mouth stickers on his Reprolabels sheet. I'd be likely to pick this up, except I still haven't done anything with my TR and SS'86 Perceptors, so...I dunno'.

As for Kickback, nice to see the good ol' butcher knife wings have apparently replaced the round-tipped ones in all his reissues. I'm surprised how striking the lack of silver paint on the front of his helmet ends up being. The mold finally looks purely like Kickback, without a trace of Voltron! I'm probably going to end up getting all of this Insecticon trio alongside the Legacy ones.

I didn't even knew Perceptor and Kickback were even announced. Furthermore, they haven't appeared on Walmart.ca yet.

Regardless, I'll be skipping on both because I already have their reissues. Kickback from the Platinum set, and Perceptor from the TrU exclusive Commemorative Edition.

The listings were leaked but this is our first time seeing them. The most recently announced ones were Skywarp and Shrapnel, Perceptor and Kickback aren't up for sale anywhere.

What's also strange is that despite sending out an email about his orders being open they didn't stick him the new section or the front page, you either have to go to the "partner exclusives" section or the "shop all Transformers" section to find him.

Meanwhile no Skywarp or Shrapnel until October despite orders coming earlier. I guess we'll get Perceptor next week?

Walmart's next output of G1 releases in cartoon decos will be a bit different than the previous ones. They will be in G1 style boxes rather than closed boxes and part of the 40th anniversary subline. We have images of a Blaster set and Soundwave set, thanks to JTPrime17. Blaster comes with 1 cassette while Soundwave comes with 2, to compensate for his much smaller stature. Both sets are said to be at the $45 price point.

Oh my God, G1 Soundwave with show accurate colors looks so bloody good. Blaster ain't half bad either.

Nice that they have redone soundaves chest piece, they might get around to remolding G1 dinobots...in another 10 years. Tempted for him though I cant remember if I still have the g1 toy as well as the takara collection.

Blasters a pass, I like the tampos on Steeljaw but the perceptor/blaster pack was a bargain at the time.

No. They just painted his cheeks silver in addition to his mouthplate, when the cheeks are usually left blue.
