If that's the case, 1 extra month to save up money for a most desired TF figure again.

I live in North NJ, and my job has me travel all over it.
Alt Ravage, Rumble, and Classic Devastor never arrived here. Outside of online listings, local store searches availed nothing. This is upsetting me about the GOOD MP StarScream, being a Wal-Mart exclusive.
In my hunt for the three figures I mentioned though, keeping in mind I didn't have bar codes handy, not one clerk in any of the stores I tried could bring up a listing for them
So basicly, I don't know if this story is legit or not, but I can say reguarding exclusives, Wal-Mart is F___ED!
As for them being scalper friendly, I've heard enough over the years to believe it, but thats all, I've never seen it first hand.

Actually, they don't come from Japan. They come from China. Japan might get a shipment, but it won't be coming from there. (That's how HK, Singapore, Shanghai, etc get the items first, long before we do.)
And you might very well be right about it not being in their system 'til November.
But, you'd think it would show up somewhere by now, considering we're only a little over a month from the start of November.
Not to mention, people who work for Wal-Mart were able to pull up information for other TF items long before they came out. (Powered Convoy of The ALLSpark was one of them, still might be. I have no idea.)
So I'm not sure what the Starscream issue is, all I know is, I hope it's easily accessible to those of us who want to own it. =\
EDIT: One more thing. TransFormers.com said September. That's why so many people are looking for him.
Plus Action-H-Q said mid-October. (Though since they're in China, they'll get the items 2-4 weeks before we will) so yeah...looks like November is the month for this guy. (which is good. More time to save up my money or have him be a Christmas present.)

Ah well I thought they came from japan from the DC somewhere over there or something. I knew I was going to be slightly wrong but meh.
Sometimes it's a hit and miss on this stuff. If Liege Hamstermus (wrawr) is right and most exclusives don't reach certain Wal-Marts..then some or most of us are screwed.
I actually prefer Target exclusives as Target seems a much nicer looking store along with the "scenery" =P. Go in Wally world.. -shudders-
Hopefully we'll get some news or info on Mp Screamer over the next couple weeks..If we're lucky

Not getting behind the rumor but come on no one should use their “official” inquiries to Wal-Mart to disprove anything for certain.
You can ask a Wal-Mart employee for an item then walk right past it on the shelf after they tell you they do not carry it, that is if you can get them to talk to you at all from their little social circles, or complete lack of common sense and a grasp of the English language.

I realize that Wal-Mart is absolutely worthless in general, but come on...
The corporate number was called twice (no record of the item).
Loki asked his sister in law to check the system about it, she came up with nothing. (BTW...when you go off on little tangents about the Wal-Mart workers like this, you're getting personal with Loki's own family. You might want to consider that the next time you decide to post.)
I called one store, physically visited two of them and none of them could come up with squat.
I know the overnight toy stocker, I showed him the UPC, he even went in the back and checked. Heck, he's even taken me (and a few others) back to the stockroom to help him look for things (Leader Class Megatron, and Concept Camaro Bumblebee for example) he knows where the figures are stored, he knows where the info's stored for what's in the current shipment, what came before it and what is to come (within the next week or so)
Nothing. Nada. Zip. Zilch.
If Wal-Mart doesn't have it, they don't have it. Simple as that. It's not in corporate's computers, it's not in the store's computers.
It's not on file.
It's being made in Hasbro's factories in China, as we speak. It'll be here, it's just a matter of when and how.
And I'd hope Hasbro will stick with Wal-Mart...because I'm not willing to spend over $60.00 for that mold. No thanks.

if they were even limetedly available there would be some on ebay, currently the only ones showing up are preorders or "prototypes" that fell out the back door.

Hmm, I got all 3 of those mentioned figs from the Walmart in Berlin, NJ all on the same day. This was about 2 mos ago, but they were there. Check the NJ sightings forum, SmokescreenGT is the one who spotted the stuff for me or anyone else who read it.
I guess we're not considered north jersey here, but you did say that you traveled all over the state.
Also, I don't find it strange that you had trouble finding those figs, because I didn't see them anywhere else but Berlin WM.
If you're ever in the area Berlin and Marlton WM's have the best stocking in the area. I got most of my stuff from those 2 places. They may even still have a few Devastators there. I might make a run down there this week.

I called corporate the other day (as I mentioned in a previous post) and the woman sent the information to the local store.
They called this morning.
"We do not have any at this time. If we are going to carry it, we'll have to order it in bulk. We cannot do that for one customer. We're sorry for any inconvenience this might cause. Keep checking back with us though, we might receive a shipment if it's a store exclusive. I stress "if" because we have a list of this and part of next year's store exclusives. This Masterpiece Starscream is not part of that list. We have several TransFormer items on the list and it's definitely not on there."
I said thank you, and we hung up.
So...what the heck? Now I'm getting a tad worried.

don't.. the release date is still technically, at the very least, a month from now.
you've seen the ass-in-head syndrome with all the movie toys and when they are supposed to be somewhere and why aren't they there..

botcon did.
and on his stand it said nov '07
so let's all wait it out like good little proles and we will get our toys.
it's not like they are only making 200 of them, and furthermore, even the robot heroes sneak attack set (which was exclusive) was available to order on walmart.com

I got one hella quick response from HASBRO. It is as follows:
Hi Steven,
Thank you for contacting Hasbro, Inc. We appreciate your interest in our company and products!
This product has just recently begun shipping to Walmart stores. Please keep in mind that depending on time of year, retailer distribution systems, store inventory and sales patterns, it may take from several weeks up to several months for some products to show up on store shelves!
We ask that you continue checking your local Walmart and their website for availability of this product.
Again, thank you for your interest.

Hey, I'm not the only one concerned here.
TransFormers.com (a Hasbro site) said September. Action-H-Q said mid-October, and BotCon said November.
We're only going by info we heard from legitimate sources.
We've called and emailed places and they've no record of the item.
So, yeah, we had reason to be concerned when no one had any record of it.
...you know, it was nice when you weren't posting (least I hadn't seen any posts of your's in a while) guess all good things must come to an end.

Well, lets see, the greater the number of a particular item there is for sale, the less the demand is. For one seller to put that many on ebay at once is a sales downfall. Case in point, the seller I got my DVD Prime from was a mass seller or "scalper" and I got him for 40 bucks. Up to 30 bucks below retail.
Also, I can understand the business side of scalping, but when you can't find something you should be able to find at a local store, and are searching ebay for ridiculous inflated prices, it sucks.
You can got to a store and buy a few of the same TF if you want, but if you're going and buying whole cases, you're a scalper.
