Exactly. I mean if they offer Target, Walmart and Walgreens exclusives, I appreciate that because there isn't a guarantee of finding them in store or even pre-ordering online (since at least Target and Walmarts online ordering has proven to be unreliable at times). But yeah, it was the Amazon aspect that baffled me since there is abundant quantities seemingly available.

To be fair, it's really not that different than what we had in TR here we'd get the redecos/retools revealed before the main use of the mold. Or Alpha Bravo before Vortex in Combiner Wars. Hasbro is jut revealing stuff before other stuff. Same diff.
Meh, all toys in the same line (WFC). It's a bit different but ultimately the same thing. In both cases we are seeing a toy that is not the main intended use of the mold before the main intended use of the mold.
Just saying it's nothing really new. Hasbro has been and can be goofy.
I think what you are missing is they are revealing the uses of the mold out of order or when the product will be in hand. For CW they did show Alpha Bravo before Vortex, but Alpha Bravo was also available before Vortex. Same thing in TR. What is different here is revealing a use of the mold that won't be available for 5 months when they have failed to reveal the use of the mold that will be out in the very near future. That is if they even reveal the Tigertron before he hits retail, which as we have seen with SS Grindor is no guarantee.
Might this have something to do with the fact that multiple interviewers complained about the availability of the Earthrise Amazon exclusives to Hasbro? They may have elected to include Amazon exclusives on Pulse due to that feedback, even though the main issues there were the amount of stock and the sets getting scalped. At least Amazon can't cancel your preorder like many people reported if you just don't order from Amazon.o.supreme wrote:william-james88 wrote:I'm a but cynical though, it just looks like a way for Hasbro to get some more money out of fans since they get the premium membership bucks AND get double their margin on anything offered on Pulse.

I've been able to get almost all of the Target exclusives from Target.com, but every time the WC set goes up it sells out instantly. One time I had one in my cart and it sold out before I could complete checkout, this morning I was there 3 minutes after getting an email saying it was back in stock and it was already gone.

Some folks are reporting seeing wave 4 at Target, I still have yet to see wave 3 deluxes anywhere (I have the ones I want, I just haven't seen them in a store yet, I just like to keep tabs on what's going on at retail). Last year I never saw ER Wave 3 at retail either, though I saw all the Target exclusive 1 item each, 1 time.

I've seen photos. This was even in Maryland. I've not seen them myself, though.
