Which makes me wonder all the more why the even added BW to the WfC trilogy. They could easily have made a separate line for BW figures and then left SS to what it originally was, the live-action movies, and finished the G1-esque WfC with the '86 animated movie figures all in one line. I really feel like this third season/chapter whatever of WfC was sorta rushed and not thought out from a marketing standpoint.
I can see where you're coming from on that one, but idk im a big fan of combining G1 with BW. I like the idea of optimus prime and optimus primal fighting side by side against the megatrons, and all the other potential team-ups and battles between characters. It does seem to be rushed though
Oh yeah, don't get me wrong because I think this is pretty cool and I definitely love me some new Beast Wars figures. Just seems really weird from a Marketing standpoint and many products live and die by their Marketing. Transformers just has such a massive fan base it almost doesn't matter, at least for those that frequent sites like this. But I have to wonder how many purchases are by fans, scalpers, and then parents buying for their kids. That breakdown would tell a lot but I have no idea if even Hasbro has that info.
Any excuse for new Optimus Primal and BW Megatron is fine by me
BotBots isn't a Generations line. Studio Series, however, is.o.supreme wrote:AcademyofDrX wrote:Could we maybe not debate WfC vs. SS-86 again, it wasn't any more interesting in the SS and ER threads when we talked it to death weeks ago.
Lines are marketing constructs, who cares
I care. By that logic, they might as well put original Series Glavatron in Botbots, because , ya know, that line really needs a sales boost so they can justify the next wave...

Sabrblade wrote:Yeah, right now the store shelves at Target and Walmart are fighting to make room for four Transformers toylines in one section:
- War For Cybertron Trilogy (Siege/Earthrise/Kingdom)
- Studio Series
- War For Cybertron Trilogy (Netflix, Walmart only)
- Cyberverse
Though, while Targt doesn't have the Netflix line, it makes up for it with BotBots and the Movie Masterpieces. And Walmart also has to fit the RED toyline in there as well.
Creating a fifth all new toyline to try and cram into that same retail section would be overkill.

Ahh yeah they did, that's how I got my Scorponok! Impulse buy as I was going for a bicycle for my god-daughter.Rodimus Prime wrote:Some Targets even had the Titan Class figures, but after the Ark that may be finished. Is the Ark part of the Kingdom line like Scorponok was with Earthrise?

The thing I can't get over is the figure just doesn't have the amount of personality I am looking for in a toy (in either mode). Went with Vertebreak for the Core Class win.Cheetron wrote:I've watched 2 reviews on Rattrap. No matter what, I cannot get over the wrong direction arms. Scorponok is actually confirmed already. It's Terrorsaur, Taranntulas and Inferno (ant) that we need to hear some news about.
BeastWarrior wrote:I actually heard that Polar Claw might be back in. Word through the grapevine is he's gonna be a Voyager class figure. As a Generations selects exclusive.
This isn't an isolated issue, back in early October a bunch of release dates got changed (Paradron Medics, ER wave 3 deluxes, etc) to later in that week; they didn't arrive by then and the dates were changed back. It's likely that the same thing is happening here.aronjlove wrote:Just approved the delay to Kingdom Core-class Prime. I shouldn't be surprised but they didn't know until the day of shipping they didn't have it?!?! At least the Autobot Clones arrived to hold me over...
