As I've said in other threads, if this is true I'm looking forward to it. I'll definitely pick up the Primal, Megatron, Cheetor and Airazor, but if there are new toys of Waspinator and Rhinox I may skip them because the Thrilling 30 toys are still satisfying for me. As far as the non-BW stuff listed, I'll buy the Leader Rodimus Prime if it looks decent enough. I skipped the Power of the Primes Rodimus Prime bt now I fancy swapping out my Titans Return Hot Rod for something new.

I know there have been leaks and other stuff, but how exactly is this going to happen? If this trilogy, like the previous, is following a storyline, how does Earthrise end that leads into Beast Wars??? Kingdom can just as easily mean Megatron rules Cybertron as his kingdom, especially if he reformats everyone into Decepticons.

Wondering if some autobots/decepticons will get beast modes too. Earth mode doesnt necessarily mean earth vehicle modes.

I'll probably cave and get the megatron and then have to decide if I want to collect wfc beast wars or mp beast wars.

Time travel, a convenient excuse to have Kingdom Optimus Prime, Starscream and G1 Megatron instead of just doing Beast Wars and Beast Mode TFs

Except the leak says Beast Wars Megs as in the actual BW megs. The rumours are that Rodimus goes back in time and interacts with the Beast Wars crew we all know and love.

Chronologically, the Beast Wars took place on Earth after the Ark and Nemesis crash-landed there and before the Autobots and Decepticons awoke from their slumber. The story of Earthrise is the Ark and Nemesis's journey to Earth through space, culminating in the ships crash-landing there.

I'm still holding out hope for a starsaber/victory leo toy and a dethsaurus toy
I would have thought they might go in a different direction
But beast wars is a welcome addition

well, at least it isn't more of the same old G1 tosh. I'm in for a new BW megs, at least.

I'll totally be interested in more Beast Wars. I'll probably get all of the BW figures they do, just to try and help show that BW is popular enough for more figures. Though, I hope they still go for screen accuracy. Mostly just because I'd rather not get a fluffy feathered Megatron and Dinobot. Primal will be interesting given that it will be about the size of the MP.

And I'm curious to see if/how they'll integrate the C.O.M.B.A.T. system for the BW crew. I assume it'll be the same as the others, but if they do organic beast modes, it'll probably look off

I'm puzzled by any talk of scale since we already had Beast Wars in the Generations line. Even interacting with other G1 characters, like Optimal Optimus from POTP. It will just be that kind of scaling again, no need to think too hard about it.

But if Earthrise is supposed to be set 4 million years ago, shouldn't the toys still have cybertronian alt modes?

Don't get me wrong, I'm definitely down for more Beast Wars. Especially with current production quality. I love T30 Waspinator. I just don't see how the fiction is going to jive. But that is more of a problem with the actual accompanying fiction taking so long. We don't even have Hot Rod yet but apparently Rodimus is going back in time? So the fiction will have Optimus passing the Matrix? Even though dead Optimus is "Alternate reality" but he still dies in this reality? Making I'm just thinking too much about it and should just enjoy the toys.

It's Optimus, he's used to dying when you think about it. I don't see an issue with the story line if they're going back to the past.

As for the scale, I brought it up just for now they were portrayed in the Agenda episodes of Beast Wars though I didn't think Generations before WfC were consistent with scale given that they seemed to be sticking close to the cartoon scale. It wasn't a serious point anyway, I'm still buying all the beasties!
(assuming they're good toys, that's the real deciding factor)

I think there was a rumor for a Voyager Hot Rod in the Studio Series line. And part of me feels like the "Time Travel" is just a thought, rather than definitive. Cause I feel like they could also just have Rodimus Prime captain his own ship (Kinda like IDW), but they crash on a colony world where the Maximals and Predacons are fighting

They still haven't explained the Earth altmodes yet. What I wrote above is the full extent of what Hasbro has thus far told us about the story of Earthrise, as in, barely anything at all.

Hot Rod's toy is rumored to be coming in the Studio Series line. As for the Rodimus of this line, I get the feeling that the Beast Wars will be Kingdom's present day setting with Rodimus depicted as a mysterious new Autobot leader from the future whose backstory is not shown in real time but instead as sort of flashback events, which would mean that the story of how Rodimus becomes Autobot Leader will not be the story of Kingdom but rather an offscreen event that happens in the distant future, but before the specific time from whence Rodimus and his Autobots travel back in time to the Beast Wars.

Basically, think of it like if one were to have read Time Wars for the first time back in 1989. Rodimus Prime is presented as the future Autobot Leader who travels back in time to the era of his predecessor, Optimus Prime, but without Rodimus's backstory told in real time because it was expected that the readers were already familiar with Rodimus and his backstory from having either first seen him in TFTM three years ago in 1986 or having first read the many previous comic chapters that also featured Rodimus.

Ugh, this made my head hurt. Might need more coffee, but I think I get what you are saying. Regardless, how it shakes out, it should definitely be interesting. I would love to see more interaction between Beast Wars era characters and G1 folks.

To put it more simply, the Beast Wars are the line's present time. Rodimus travels back in time to the Beast Wars from a future time set after the point when he's already the Autobot Leader, with his backstory not being the main focus because it's expected that we already know about it.

Note that the first post is mostly just speculation. The actual rumors don't really take off until this post.

I'm still confused why another thread was needed and what other source you're talking about, since all the leaks on both threads came from the same source (and Scorponok was one of the first things the leaker mentioned), and the second thread just seems to be confusing people since more of the information is over here.

Simple, its because abosolutely no one informed the staff of this. So I see something new online, I make a new thread and done. No time to wasted.

Also, that source is not the only one to have seen some stuff, but everything must remain a rumour until we have proof.
