Brownish fossil color with some slight printed dark brown weathering, asymmetrical shoulder ( left is giant blade and right is normal) , rib cage thighs , long arms with big claws hands that is dinolegs. The back is dino head , same style with G1 dinobot.
No ankle pivot but has heel 5mm ports. Has knee pivot both horizontal and vertical.
The head is exactly Primal mace , but it open and reveal striking silver chariot face inside with beautiful yellow eye.
This fossilizer is interesting.. I think you all need to be very creative. The head is indeed mace , but other parts i dont know how to integrate them on othwr figures. They are bones and bones after all. The chest can be shield or pauldron for example.

Reading the head description had me a little confused at first, but looking closer to what we can see of the bot mode and the back of his head in trex mode (it's right behind the dino skull) it seems to flip up the same way K-9 and Wolfang's masks did. I'm guessing this/these will be the only figure to homage the battle masks. Also that leaker really doesn't have any imagination if he looks at these and sees bones and not robots in the shape of bones.

The Class price points are no longer fully related to the size of the bot within it. For instance, Earhtrise "leader class" Double dealer is a whole head shorter than Studio Series "voyager class" Movie 1 megatron.

Image

Basicaly, it just means you'll get a deluxe sized Hot Rod and have to pay $30 for it.

This is true, but that's probably not the best comparison. Megatron was designed to be taller than most Voyagers and has a ridiculously simple transformation to make up for it. I transformed him without instructions in a couple minutes and then looked at the instructions because I couldn't believe I was already done. Meanwhile Doubledealer is Voyager size, but makes up for it with a ridiculously high parts count, below the waist is 25 parts alone and three different enough modes. If you really want to compare a Voyager and Leader go with SS RotF Voyager Megatron and DotM Leader Shockwave who share parts, but Shockwave is a Leader because he comes with two microscopic figures and a dollar store paratrooper.

But if the rumor is true that Kingdom Rodimus Prime is the next Commander Class that might well and truly stretch our understanding of of what actually fits into a class.

Here's a nice rundown of everything we know so far from Kingdom's main line (exclusives like Selects are still up in the air):
Core class
G1 Optimus
G1 Megatron
G1 Starscream
Rattrap
Dracodon - Fossilizer
Vertrebreak - Fossilizer

Deluxe Class
G1 Warpath
Cheetor
Blackarachnia
Paleotrex - T-Rex Fossilizer
G1 Tracks
Waspinator
Scorponok
Airrazor
G1 Huffer
G1 Pipes
Shadow Panther
G1 Slammer (potentially a Warpath retool)
Ractonite - Styracosaurus Fossilizer
Wingfinger - Pteranadon Fossilizer
G1 Wheeljack (Earthrise repack)
G1 Arcee (Earthrise repack)

Voyager class
Optimus Primal
G1 Inferno
G1 Cyclonus
Dinobot
Rhinox
Tigatron
G1 Starscream (Earthrise repack)

Leader class
G1 Galvatron
Beast Wars Megatron
Earth mode Ultra Magnus (Seige retool)
G1 Optimus Prime (Earthrise repack)

Unknown/potentially commander
G1 Rodimus Prime
leaning more towards him being the commander as he apparently has some effect parts including a matrix energy effect. Outside of Battlemasters, only Commanders and Titans have come with effects parts. That and leader class is looking pretty full between Kingdom and Studio Series

Titan class
Autobot Ark
Supposedly has a Last Autobot robot mode

Thematically, it would make sense that the Fossilizers only connect to the G1 figures. Vehicle altmodes would need augmentation in a pre-historical setting, for survival. The Maximals and Predacons are already fit for purpose.

What if it's only sold as a Commander due to the mass of his trailer, with the actual Rodimus figure being more Voyager sized?

That's the thing though: I do not care about the Rodimus base mode, same way I do not care for prime having the trailer.

I am more than OK with the Rodimus we got in PotP, i didnt and don't really want much else then, and still don't. And the Rodimus I really care for, Flame Toys and MMC are taking care of. Only regret is not owning a Cloud Rodimus.

And if Commander Rodimus is a voyager sized figure with $50 worth of gear, than that will be an utter joke to me. I'll just wait for the netflix or selects repaint as IDW Rodimus with his headsculpt without the trailer.

A new idea just crossed my mind.

What if they make this Rodimus really show-accurate in robot and vehicle mode, while also having a toy-accurate trailer base mode... and then Takara redecos it in their Japanese Selects line in gold and crimson orange... as Primus?!

Honestly, I don't even necessarily think we'd have to hope for Takara to do it. Normally Shattered Glass would be my most expected redeco for Rodimus, but since we're also getting Hot Rod in Studio Series (despite the lack of Studio Series Selects up to this point, I'm betting they'll do some for the 86 characters; the reason there haven't been any for previous SS figures is probably something to do with the licensing agreements, same reason BotCon/TFCC never used Movie molds), and SG would probably fit him better; I think Lucky Draw Golden Rodimus Primus is decently likely even from Hasbro. We haven't had a Commander-class Selects release yet, but it would make sense to do some kind of Primus to face off against the upcoming Unicron, and I doubt they'd do another planet bot right now, so this seems pretty likely to me.

Also, of note: Kingdom Rodimus has been described as fairly heavily toy-based by leakers like Apollux, which in my mind makes Lucky Draw Primus as a redeco just that little bit more likely.

Well, I specified Takara because it is they who are currently telling this grand, cosmic, Green Lantern Corps-esque Selects manga story surrounding that specific version of Primus, and independently from Hasbro at that.

I mean, I'll take a G1 accurate Rodimus Prime without trying to squeeze a Hot Rod into him, but I'm not sure if I'll be happy paying $70 for it at retail. Would ER Optimus Prime be $70 if he came with Roller and a jet pack? Nope, so what makes Rodimus so expensive? Rodimus doesn't even need a complex transformation to be cartoon accurate, he can literally be "G1 with elbows" as they say.

The Commander Class Rodimus I want is the "New Rodimus" fire truck.

Image

He could be a pre-tool of RID Prime/Super Fire Convoy as a 2022 Commander Class.

The only fire truck that "New Rodimus" resembles a pre-tool of is G1 Inferno.

Nah. In my mind, as a Commander Class only the front of the truck would transform a la Fire Convoy, to be about Voyager size. Inferno is modeled off of a relatively small ladder truck while Fire Convoy and even Hot Spot are modeled on much larger trucks which I think would suit New Rodimus better. I imagine the "cab" on New Rodimus would be the size of Optimus' truck cab making the full firetruck nearly the size of Optimus with his trailer. From there he can have a Powermaster OP style combination to form a much larger bot which is why I said he'd be a great Fire Convoy pre-tool.

Is it too much much to ask for an all-in-one rodimus. No built in Hot Rod. No battle base. Just a Rodimus that transforms straight into his space winnebago.

Nah, titanium did it so we might see it again, can't just be Galvatron and Ultra Magnus that nearly always get a mode side lined.

Rewatching Beastwars at the moment, it would be nice for waspinator to have his predacon head and a decepticon faction symbol head but I guess that's going to justify a selects or netflix figure reuse.

Depends, I imagine the Potp Evil Rodimus as a bike carrier for the shattered glass junkions rather than a space winnebago. If the classics junkions could have fit inside the trailer some how it would have been cool and maybe they could build that into Kingdom Rodimus even if it's not G1 accurate, motor home that have space for automobiles or bikes are just cool and then Prime/Magnus/Rodimus are all able to provide transportation (Just dont ask where Optimus Primal transports Maximals...)

Optimus Prime's is just a pair of boxes. So why make a deal out of the overall shape?

Most vehicles are either boxes, a stick that might or might not have wings or a water shoe.

Much like how Transformers are just giant people/Gundams that wear vehicle parts on top.

When you break it down that much anything becomes boring.

Yes. Now go to your room and don't play with yourself.
