The Ark to be seen in the Kingdom episodes of the Netflix show will undoubtedly be the same Ark that we've been following across Siege and Earthrise. It would not make sense for there to be two different Arks once Kingdom starts.Rodimus Prime wrote:Yeah that's the general consensus. It's a big fail on the designers' part.GrumpyPrime wrote:Hi there,
I like the idea of a Titan Ark. But I'm gonna pass on it. The Ark does not look how I think it should. In Ark mode the big gaps where the legs are folding in are just UGLYWell this is Kingdom Ark, which may only have 4 thrusters, we'll find out once the miniseries drops. But I agree, it should have 5 to be truly G1. I mean, the comic version had 4 thrusters, but that was also metallic silver and not yellow.and the G1 Cartoon Ark has 5 thrusters not 4!

1 - GD Jackpot
Jackpot is priced at 58 AUD, which almost exactly converts to 45 USD. That price doesn't line up with any size class meaning he's a two-pack. 45 would essentially account for two deluxes (Paradron was 40 USD).
2 - GD Terrorsaur
This one is interesting, we've heard that Terrorsaur is supposedly an Airazor retool but this price adds some intrigue.
38 AUD roughly translates to 30 USD *not* 20. Terrorsaur is currently marked at a Voyager price range which opens some possibilities:
A- He's actually built on an upscaled Airazor CaD file (same engineering) and is a literal Voyager
B- He's a two pack with a smaller Core or Battlemaster Class figure
There's something we don't know about Terrorsaur...
3 - GD Ranger Puffer
This one's still the mystery pack. 77 AUD which converts to 60 USD. As noted with Jackpot up there, the price of a Deluxe Two-pack is 40-50 USD. $60 was the price of the Botropolis set which was made of multiple two Deluxes, two Micromasters, and a missile. If the two Deluxes are Road Ranger and Puffer from Huffer, that would leave room to squeeze in a third deluxe or two Core classes.

Sorry to tell you, but even accounting for conversion rates, Transformers in Australia (and many other places) are still more expensive than they are over here in the US. ~$38 AUD, for example, is roughly around the standard Australian price for a Deluxe currently.

Soundblaster had a Decepticon symbol in the Siege toyline, but had a Mercenary badge in the show, as did Doubledealer I believe. It's entirely possible that the symbols on the toy are for G1 accuracy, but the show version will have different symbols, if they go that direction

Its kind of like Basic Instinct, but not in a good way...
Goddammit, now I can't unsee it.

I know so, just look at both Studio Series threads![]()
Anyway, got Paleotrex and Ractonite, so I'm caught up with Fossilizers for now. Sadly, Paleotrex has a small chip on the dark brown vertebra of the "shoulder blade" piece. O well. Ractonite is the better of the two, but I can't seem to decide on how to position the Styracosaurus skull that is his right shoulder. I currently have it facing forward, so he ram into stuff, but I don't know what looks best.
Sowndwave76 wrote:@ Actar,
Very cool photos!! I appreciate how you posed the figures and set-up each shot.
Also, I will say that Unicron looks incredibly good. All of those guys do.
Being free of all of the Siege greebling... They just look so on point.
I know some must love all of those little extra molded details, but for me, less is more.
Especially with the G1 characters-- put all efforts into the face/head sculpt, proportions, and transformations, and forget about all of the unnecessary indentations, lines, and broken-up shapes that make figures like Astrotrain look like a textural nightmare.
They're not talking about the 5 mm ports when they use that word. The term greebling typically refers to little extra details added to make designs look more realistic and/or technologically advanced, things like molded rivets or extraneous panel lines that imply that something that's one part on the figure would be multiple panels if it were a real robot. If you look at figure like Siege Magnus or Astrotrain next to someone like Kingdom Cyclonus, the Siege guys has way more of those kinds of details on them, while Cyclonus's comparative lack of those details is the design style that Sowndwave prefers.sol magnus wrote:Sowndwave76 wrote:@ Actar,

I'm sorry, Soundwave. You keep saying they're 'free of the Siege greebling' but I just don't know what you mean. All three have 5mm ports. Scourge, even is SS 86 and he has 5mm ports.
