Well, I don't think the Megatron head looks all that bad, really. But I don;t think the G1 Megatron figure is all that horrible, to be honest.
So, for anyone who's ever found reason to disagree with anything I post, let that serve as a little insight into the mind and preferences of Dagon, I guess....

Anyhow, I think these figures look pretty ok. I was not really thrilled by the picture of Bumblebee on the TFCC cover yesterday, and I think Megs' alt mode is dumb (What is he? I understand what he's supposed to be, but man, of all the ideas to cross over from Animated.....G1 Soundwave turned into a streetlight, and Animated Cybertron Megatron turns into a .....thing, with a distinct.....form and ....shape). But I do really like Prime, and Megatrons' robo-mode is cool. I want to see more of these designs.

OP looks alright, I'll wait until we see the final product before judging as who knows what Hasbro will change. Megatron...I actually like this figure much more.

Prime looks great! Loving the head sculpt, and the bulk of bot mode. Megatron I love his design, but I'll have to wait for a video review. And also I'd like to see the real colors first of course.

Prime is alright, a nice nod to the Classics and WWI Primes.

I just can't stand that Megatron. His alt mode is a letdown and his hands are a total mess. Why is it that Animated is the only toy line in the past 4-5 years that could get a wide release version of this figure right?

It's the curse of Megatrons... hasn't really been a 'solid' one homaging G1 in years.

And that would have been half way forgivable if Universe 2.0 Galvatron hadn't been so flawed. If only he'd been a Voyager, I probably wouldn't be complaining about needing a solid Decepticon leader in my collection.

What about Cybertron/Galaxy Force, Master Megatron was AWESOME there, and Energon was quite nice as well. I'm quite sure Cybertron fits in that timeframe but i'm not sure about Energon.

Well atleast Megatron is Game-CGI accurate in alternate mode. I think the gun isn't pictured in robot mode..

I'm more than positive Megatron's hands issue is simply another mis-transformation. Hasbro actually has a tragic history of making official pictures without fully (or properly) transforming them; like whoever takes them really doesn't know what they're doing. It's kinda funny since the point of these photos is to make the toys look good.

What's even funnier is that Megatron even has treads on his arms when he's supposed to be a hovertank

You know I don't think it looks anything at all like Animated Megatron. Animated Megatron despite not being able to tell which end is the front do to the confusion caused by the animation vs. the toy design does actully have a fairly decent shape. Granted it could be better.

WfC Megatron literally just looks like a brick with a cannon attached.

Now Optimus, I'm actully likeing his vehicle mode a little more than when I first saw it.

Megatron... well, I just hope it's horribly misstransformed because there's nothing cool about a flying brick.
