Age of Empires. They have a large selection of units and I think that their unit production limit is 200.

good point... but
Warcraft has four different races each with unique units and structures... while age of empires has different races but everyone has the same thing.
Plus warcraft has WOrld of warcraft and age of empires doesnt have anything like that

As single player games i've thoroughly enjoyed both and it's a tough call, provided of course you exclude Age of Empires 3.
I just found that to be a bloated, resource hogging, piece of crap and a massive step backwards from the previous two.

Both have become major franchises for their respective game developers. i'd say Age of Empires but it would be a split decision.

I like both games but i think warcraft is better. Because in age of empires 3 and warcraft 3 both games explored the hero characters a little more. But in age of empires the hero was strong but if he/she died you lost which sucked. While in warcraft 3 heroes could be revived from altars and be summoned from altars. Only in certain missions would the death of the hero mean defeat. which are ones with no structures. Plus the heroes could learn 4 skills depending on their hero class. while in age of empires the heroes only had a specific skill
