MantaScorp wrote:Just so everyone knows, the Optimus prime voice changer has two versions: one features Peter Cullen's voice and other features a knock-off voice. The packaging is almost identical except that when looking at the packages, on the left side, the Peter Cullen one has a yellow sign that says "TRY ME! Feturing the REAL Movie Voice!" and the knock-off voice one says "TRY ME! Press buttons for Battle Phrases!"
Target had the knock-off, while Toys R Us had BOTH versions side-by-side!
Be aware! I bought the wrong one first and then found the other one (of course, I'll keep both!).
Phenotype wrote:Bwahahaha! All you guys are talking trash about the "knock-off" voice and it's Gary Chalk.

Nightwatcher wrote:We have a problem people. While at TRU yesterday picking a few figures up I decided to check the voice on a couple in the KO packaging....They had Cullens voice. The other 9 though had Chalks. So it seems like while you can be positive that the one package will contain only Cullens voice, the other might also have his voice. And oddly enough it had the orange eyes as well. Hmm.

Why would Hasbro put out two versions? What do they gain? Is the nonCullen voice better? Could it be a contractual issue with Cullen?
