1 of my favorite series! The book ended so much better than the movie. I still like the movie, though.Va'al wrote:I'm re-reading Harris' series, currently on Hannibal

I haven't read either one since I was in grade school. Hell, it's probably been damn near 30 years. I should read them again.

1984 is a great read.
I'm reading 'The Abominable' by Dan Simmons and 'Soul Music' by Terry Pratchett.

GOOD choices. Simmons's Hyperion Cantos are my favouritest sci-fi book pretty much ever.
I'm catching up on my poetry, bought two books yesterday (Kate Clanchy and Kate Tempest), though on my ongoing reading pile is Andrea Tarabbia, La Calligrafia Come Arte Della Guerra and Rachel Cusk Outline.
RhA wrote:Have you read 'Illium' and 'Olympus' by Simmons? I'm still not sure if Hyperion is better. Both stories blew my mind.

The first time I read Hogfather, it nearly killed me.
