I was just thinking about my time on this board. It's been less than a year but feels like much more than that. The other thing was I actually had to think hard as to what brought me here in the first place.

I had visisted Seibertron a few times over the years, mostly in the news sections.

I had briefly posted on the Don Murphy message board leading up to the first movie.

But it was Botcon 2008 that got me posting here. I had been to Botcon 07 as well with my wife and had a blast but really didn't meet a lot of other fans personally. I joined up here and was able to make a lot of great friendships on and off of this board.

And the rest is history.

Share your stories, I'd like to hear them.

What brought me here? Google.

I had just found out that Transformers the movie got greenlighted and I was so stoked I went on a research/ rebirth of my most loved TF's.

I lurked for about a year before actually joining Seibertron, and now I have a deeper passion for the hobby that the Movie doesn't even touch. What I've learned since being here is crazy.

If only my mom didn't give away all my G1 toys.

Just randomly going through Transformers sites. Then I happened upon here...and Before Carly. I was twelve, man, don't judge me.

Then after a year or so, I joined here. Five years later, I'm still around, to the chagrin of most of the people here.

I'm pretty much here because my native Transformer's home is nothing more than a Spammer's paradise now. Its really a shame.

I was a huge fan of Transformers as a child in the 80's but lost interest throughout my teenage years in the 90's. In 2001 I was working at goodwill and someone donated a G2 remake of a G1 Optimus prime, trailer and all. I took it hope and put it on display. Me and my friends had already rented the old GI-joe movie just for the hell of it to watch during a night of drinking. I suggested we rent Transformers the movie for the next one. So we did and the sparked my interest up in Transformers again completly.

Shortley thereafter RID debuted on Fox. I thought it sucked and was a disgrace to what transformers was all about. I did a search on google for TF fan sites and came across Transformers Network. That became my TF home from 2001-2006. In fact at the time it was the ONLY message board I posted on. I made friends, had lots of good times. I learned about this site from news stories posted on TFN that cited Seibertron.com as their source. TFN eventually kinda became message board only so I came here all the time for my news.

My time at TFN was long and crazy. I have been a news poster, a moderator, and admin, and nearly became the owner (but didn't have $200 on me at the time it was offered to me)! Me and another poster in 2005 were working on fixing the site and re-launching it when the owner abruptly sold the site overnight. That was kind of the last chance TFN had of being saved. Over the course of the next year it went to like 6 different owners until the current owner acquired it. He had one of the former members design the site template and since then he has just abandoned it and let it collect ad revenue.

So last year I finally just came to terms with the fact TFN is dead and I need a new site. I registered here because I came here all the time for news anyway. Thats my story.

I was in search for a decent TF site, and was trying them all...in the lurking capacity at first. I found that Seibertron lacked most of the elitist mentality that a bunch of other sites exhibited in huge quantities, so I joined....

...the rest is history!

Not to mention the galleries are the best I had seen! ;)^

I was big into the Beast series, and then my love for toys and kid stuff in general waned. Eventually as I was walking through the aisles of my Wal-Mart, I just inexplicably stopped in the toy area. And to my utter surprise, Transformers was still a big section of it. I picked up Energon Prime (combiner) and Starscream. I took them home, sat there wondering why the Hell I had done such a childish thing. Finally I decided to open them up and holy **** did I have fun. I would set them down. Look over at them 5 minutes later and decide to transform them again. After that I just did a search for transformers on google to find a forum to see if other folks still liked this stuff. Seibertron was the first site I happened upon. It's been my home ever since.... Sheesh, over 4 years now.

I got him and Rodimus the same day. My mom bought them for me because I was really sick. She knew Hot Rod/Rodimus and Starscream were two of my favorites.

Well, it's very simple really.

Way back just when you humans were starting out. My dad decided to immaculately sex-up some lady, like he always does around every spring, and well nine months later I was conceived upon the world. Though I kinda felt bad for my step-dad, since I didn't look anything like him, he was always suspicious about my mom. But on the bright side, they did get some shiny-metals, and some incense out of the deal. Some snobs wanted to see me when I was born, so they brought gifts.

Funny story, later on in my life I ended up being picked up the soldiers over in Rome, they slapped me on a telephone pole on a hill next to a bunch of other blokes, I met this really nice guy, had pretty much the same story as me, funny as hell I tell you, though he looked at me funny when I asked if his dad knew my dad "Odin." But to make long story short, I busted off the telephone pol, stomped some roman legion ass and headed west.

Anyway, several thousands upon thousands of years later, I got interested in these robots that go from car-to-robot, and then around 1999 I found this site while searching the internet, showed up played HMW religiously for a bit, then started talking on the forums, then we fast forward to the present where I answered a thread about what brought us here and I insulted half the population by comparing myself to their lord and savior in a funny and poorly told story, which will go great next to my zombie jesus story around easter. ;)^

I was looking for a decent Transformers website to accomodate my love of Generation One. That, and when I did join up over five years ago I was a very lonely and socially inept teenager with very few friends and needed some kind of communal outlet. I got that at Seibertron, and I will forever be grateful.

Cripes that was so long ago..what did bring me here? I think it was my older brother. I used to have a blast in these forums and remembering getting in a lot of **** in highschool for being on during classes that had computer access.
