I guess being different sexes affects how we see our favorite bots.
Females appearently like to see their favorite bots as giant peacocks and want to pluck their tailfeathers.
I, as a male, want to see my favorite bot (Blaster) run around and punch Decepticons.

Starscream's one of the few Transformers who actually develops over the course of the series. It is just so him!
I can easily see him flying onto the roof of a house and strutting across it, making that loud obnoxious "Help" noise peacocks are fond of making. That is another thing peacocks love to do: they fly up on to a roof or a tree and make that loud "Help" call, really makes happy the neighbors! And its a pain to get them off the roof, as they just fly to the next highest thing.
