What do you think of Transformers: animated?

It won me over with cheeky humor and a storyline much better than I anticipated. And over time, the artwork grew on me as well. I came to enjoy it even more than G1, and I was severely disappointed when Cartoon Network cancelled the series just when it was shaping up to get even better.
I own many of the TFA figures, and it's the only TF series that I have on DVD in its entirety. It may be a forlorn hope, but I do hope they bring it back and continue where they left off.

I hated the art style. I disliked the voices for alot of the main characters. I loathed all of the cartoony human villains. I hated the fact that all of the Autobots combined barely equaled 1 Decepticon in battle.....maybe. I hated the Constructicons' personalities. There was nothing I really did like about this show.

On top of being well engineered (mostly), and well articulated as well.Prime Riblet wrote:I liked the show quite a bit, but I LOVE a few of the figures in the toy line. I still can't believe how cartoon-accurate most of those toys are. It is incredible.

The toys seemed very faithful to the show, so I naturally hated them. Way too undetailed and simple looking, and with a stylization that just doesn't work for me. Bad as the bayformer aesthetic is, it's far more acceptable to me as a toy than these.
In fact, all I ever bought of Animated was a Prime vs Megatron two pack, mainly because I try to always get at least one Optimus from each line, and I found it cheap at Walmart.

I agree. Those were some of the most well-engineered Transformers toys ever. Most of the figures from that line are incredibly well done.
