That's a lot of speculation. Now we're saying that the Matrix can leave an essence without having it? Well, if it is destroyed, hopefully the essence lasts long enough for an attack from someone like Unicron.

I'm starting to think, why even hide the Matrix in the first place and why sacrifice yourself hiding it? It's not like anyone can use it anyway. Apparently the Matrix has a mind of it's own and chooses who the power should belong to.

Optimus never had the Matrix in his chest in either movie until the part of the second movie when Sam shoved it in him to revive him (but then The Fallen stole it back, so this Optimus Prime has held the Matrix in his chest for the shortest time out of all the other Optimus Primes).Bouncy X wrote:what about the first movie? when Prime opens his chest a little when talking about the spark inside him, we see what totally looks like the animated version of the Matrix. but now this movie makes it a totally different thing...what a tease.
